ODBDSLC199-SKETCH

I am showing a closer up semi side view to show the second layer of flower
which makes it look a bit more 3-D.
Below is the sketch, as you can tell, I turned it 90 degrees.  I felt like this better suited the stamp that I had planned to use.  A sketch is just a starting point, you may turn it on it's side, upside down or backward, which ever way suits your need, and think of placement rather than shapes...that top rectangle could be an oval or a heart, you get the picture.
The stamps I used today are: ODBD Lilac and Ornate Frame Sentiments
This card is for the Shining the Light Challenge #199 (The sketch above).
To see all the creations in one place or join in the challenge, click HERE.  You have until April 27th to join us.  For this challenge you may use any stamps but if you have Our Daily Bread Design Stamps (ODBD) we would love to see you use them.   If you participate, you have a chance to win the $15 certificate toward ODBD stamps or to be spotlighted for the Shining the Light Award (The Shining the Light Award is only for those who use ODBD stamps).  We would love to see your creations.

For Lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.  The fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grapes give a good smell.  Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away!  Song of Solomon 2:11-13

This is gorgeous Robin!! I just love your coloring of the lilacs, the use of the dp, and the take on the sketch. Lilacs are very dear to me as I remember picking lilacs as a child for my mother on Mother's Day each year as a child.

hugs,
Chris

Oh, Robin, this is stunning! (And I almost used this lilac myself!) But wow, have you done a beautiful job with this sketch! I love your papers and colors, and the die with the thin ribbon is lovely! And popping the flower is gorgeous, along with the beautiful coloring! It's stunning, sweet friend! Hugs!

Pretty card Robin. The lilac image is amazing or else your coloring skills are amazing - probably both! The image really stands out. A wonderful card! Hugz!
