ODBDSLC214-Fall Inspiration Week One

Good morning! Thank God for this beautiful day! It is finally starting to cool down a bit!
I love the fall weather, it is my favorite time of year!!!
ODBD stamps used: Watering Can, Sentiment Collection 3, Doily Blessings
ODBD dies used: Watering Can, Beautiful Borders, Doily, Elegant Ovals
ODBD paper used:Blooming Gardens Collection, Fun and Fancy Folds-Side Step
I started with the side step card- Fun and Fancy Fold cards from ODBD.  I embossed the doily in white then sponged color on with distress inks,  I then used the doily die to cut it out and cut another one in white to off-set behind the colored one.  My watering can is stamped on white and colored with Copic Markers then used the watering can die to cut it out, I also cut another one in white to back it. I cut some panels from the Blooming Gardens paper collection to cover my steps and main panel (left side).  I added my doilies then cut a border and threaded it with orange floss.  It covers the bottom nicely. Next I popped up the watering can and placed it.  My ribbon is actually dyed seam binding.  I LOVE the scripture sentiment I used today, it means so much to both my husband and myself. He is a God of new beginnings! I happen to have these cute little leaf buttons that just went perfectly with the fall inspiration so I threaded one and added it to my sentiment panel.

                                                                 Matt. 6:28-30, 33
Why do you worry about clothing?  Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you...But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Well, besides the fact that God makes the most beautiful variety of flowers, colors, and scents, He says that if we just stop worrying about the things of this world and live our lives for Him, He will take care of our needs!!!!  He has us in His hands and He cares for us.  Another bit of scripture that I love which tells us this is Jeremiah 29: 11-13 & 14a.  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.  I will be found by you , says the Lord.  That is so comforting to me!!  What is the most comforting is that God says when I call to Him He will hear me and listen to me, when I seek Him, I will find Him.  He is there for me and I love Him and live for Him.
I hope this has lifted your spirit today. Be thankful for everything!!  God is good!  Go outside and smell some of His creation, feel the air in your lungs and thank Him for your very heartbeat.
