ODBDSLC Blessings week 2

Good Tuesday morning to you all!
This is our second week for the Blessings challenge.  That is use at least 4 letters from the word Blessings to make your card, as in: B=blue, L=lace, E=embossing, S=silver, S=stars, I=ink, N=nativity, G=glitter, S=shining

ODBD Paper used: Christmas Collection 2014
I started out with Our Daily Bread Christmas paper collection 2014 and silver embossed the O Little Town of Bethlehem on it for a background.  On a piece of white card stock, I silver embossed the Snowflake star and the Nativity then die cut each, the star with Splendorous Star die and the Nativity with the Circle Ornament.  I die cut another size from Splendorous Star dies in silver and the matting circles in silver plus the little ornament holder and the pine bough from the Fancy Foliage die set.  I also cut white from the Fancy Foliage die set.  I sprinkled the foliage with dots of Diamond Stickles.  Next I die cut the Beautiful border in silver and glued it to the bottom with some lace and silver decorative cord over the bottom of the die cut. I added a silver mat then glued it to a folded white card.  Lastly, I added a pretty silver metallic bow to the top corner and silver cord to the ornament as if it is hanging from the silver and white foliage.

To see all the projects created for ODBDSLC218 or to join the challenge click here. You have until November 30, 2014 at 8:00pm EDT to join us. By participating in the challenge, you have a chance to win a  $15 ODBD Gift Certificate good towards the purchase of stamps in the “stamps column” on the ODBD website, or to be spotlighted on the ODBD Blog at our next challenge. The random prize winner will be posted on our next challenge post. Please do not post on Flicker as many of us do not have the ability to comment on your cards nor can we spotlight your cards on the blog.

I hope when you listen to music this Christmas, especially songs like O Little Town of Bethlehem, you think of the reason we celebrate Christmas.  Jesus, the Son of God, our Savior was born.  Born to save us from our sin.  To give us life eternal, if we will just believe and turn to follow Him. He cleanses you and makes you new...email me and ask me how.

Oh, Robin, I agree with DJ that the silver and teal are lovely together! Just love the sparkle too and how you've "hung" the ornament on the branches! And the embossed hymn on the DP is beautiful! Yes, may we always remember THE most wonderful reason we celebrate Christmas - Christ and what He has accomplished for us!! And, may you and your family have a blessed and enjoyable Thanksgiving! So thankful for you, dear friend! Hugs!

Love Christmas music. The lyrics are just so beautiful - especially the ones you don't hear sung often in the 2nd and 3rd verses. Love your card - great color combos! As always, the details you put into your card is amazing.
