ODBDSLC230-Sketch

Good morning!
Today starts a new challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs
It's the sketch challenge! I turned the sketch upside down.
ODBD dies used: Eggs dies, Beautiful Borders

The sketch

I stamped and cut out my basket then colored it with Copics.  I stamped the eggs in pastel colors and die cut them.  In this case I used all the same size eggs. I used the new Shabby Rose paper collection for my eggs...I love the new paper.
I mounted the (Spellbinders) die on another piece of Shabby Rose paper then Embossed another layer to put on top of it.  I die cut the Beautiful Border and glued it toward the bottom then added velvet ribbon with lace on top of the border cut. I foam mounted the basket on top of these layers and added my eggs and some yellow tulle (like Easter grass) between some of the eggs. I made a bow out of pink tulle to add to the basket handle.  I threaded a button with floss and glued it to the tulle bow.  Last touches were some decoration of a couple eggs with Liquid Pearls in pastel colors!

The Easter egg, besides being a symbol of spring and renewal, the egg has been used to try (with our finite minds) to explain the trinity.  Our God is one but He has three persons in the one. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The egg is one but it has a yoke, a white and a shell.  We won't really understand the three in one till we see Him face to face but I think the egg might be a good example for our poor minds to grasp it a little.
Easter is all about the risen Savior, Jesus Christ.  Because He rose again and defeated death and the grave, we can have new life in Him.  Our renewal is in Christ.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
First we must accept Christ as our savior, He give us a new "heart" and cleanses us from all unrighteousness then read His Word.  We have our minds transformed by the reading of His Word and our faith is increased as well!  Reading His Word is the only way to really get to know our God. Praying (talking to Him) and reading what He has to say, you will draw close to Him.
Thank you for stopping by!!
