ODBDSLC261 -Color Challenge

Good morning!
Our Daily Bread Desings has a new challenge up today!
Color Challenge.
ODBD stamps used: Flourished Merry Christmas
ODBD dies used: Peaceful Poinsettia, BoHo Background, Fancy Foliage, Decorative Corners, Flourished Star Pattern

I used mirror red, mirror green and mirror gold papers along with matte white.  My Merry Christmas is done with VersaFine Red and cut out along the flourishes.
The centers of my flowers are gold Prills.  My embossing in the background is actually done with the Boho Background die.
I added acrylic red baubles in the corners and a rhinestone holly leaf design in one corner to finish off my card design.

John 14:1-6
Jesus promise to us, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.  In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go  to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.  And where I go you know, and the way you know."  Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Jesus IS coming back and for those who are faithful to the end, He has a beautiful place for us and will take us there.  This is His promise to all of us who believe.  But God is patient, He wants more to come to Him...thus His delay...or at least what WE think of as delay.  God's timing is perfect and we just need to trust HIM!  In the mean while, we can trust Him with our everyday lives.  He already knows the beginning and the end, He knows what is the best for us! Rest in Him!

Great minds think alike...LOL! Looks like we were on the same wavelength!! I just love the shimmery and glossy poinsettias you created with the metallic paper. Such an elegant and beautiful layout. Stunning Christmas card!

Chris

Thanks for sharing the verses. I am a bit down right now so the reminder of God's Grace is a real lift me up. God bless you my friend!

I've never heard of mirror card. Not sure whether to thank you or not if you know what I mean. I LOVE what you did with them though - definitely a card for display on the mantel! Beautiful, my friend!

Oh Robin, this reminds me of classic Christmas decor from my early childhood and I don't want to talk about how many decades ago that has been! Love how you used the die as your background and just embossed it too!!!

Beautiful card, Robin...how did you get such a crisp look with embossing the die?...I tried this and never could get a deep look without cutting into the paper.

Oh, Robin, this is gorgeous, and I just love the embossed background and your gorgeous poinsettias - wow! They are beautiful, and I love the centers (Prills, eh?). And the "Merry Christmas" sentiment is so beautiful - I love the script! Hugs!
