Heartfelt Creations - Peachy Wedding Cake-The Classic Wedding Collection

Good morning!

It is time for the big reveal!  The new Classic Wedding Collection from Heartfelt Creations!!

I have to tell you how this idea popped into my head.  It all has to do with my mother (who went home to be with Jesus in 2002) and my childhood.
My mother, among other creative things, made and decorated cakes.
I remember helping her with forms for sugar bells etc.  She made the most gorgeous icing roses you will ever see!  She was very much a perfectionist and everything looked quite professional.  She made wedding cakes for my sisters and I and I'm talking 5 tier things! She made gorgeous roses and scallops and lacey looking lattice and everything a beautiful wedding cake is known for.
Since this was a favorite memory (because she also made the best tasting white cakes ever!  And you KNOW cake decorators always cut off the tops!) well it made it very easy to come to mind when I was thinking of weddings.
I so wish I had a picture to show you but I have no idea where any are.
This wedding cake is in honor of my mother!

Products:

Instructions:
7" base X 8" tall plus topper 3 1/2"
Other products: Paper Mache round boxes, large pearls, rhinestones, lace, cording, paint, acetate, Vintage Glass Glitter, tulle, ribbon, chipboard for cake "plate".  Start by painting 3 round boxes with white acrylic paint or gesso. I used a cereal bowl to draw around for my cake "plate" and cut it out with a craft knife.  Paint it white as well. Cover each box with designer paper from the Wedding Collection and then cut several Decorative Medallions to add as a scallop around all 3 boxes and glue them on to the boxes on top of the paper.  Glue the lids to the boxes and stack them, gluing each on top of the other.  Glue lace around the lid of each box and cording around the base of each box. Stamp, die cut and sponge all the rose pieces and vine/leaf pieces then shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Craft each flower and then use glue and glitter around the petals of each flower.  Begin decorating the cake with the vines/leaves first working in a slight diagonal direction toward the top.  Once you are happy with the pattern you've made, add the roses starting with the largest at the bottom of the cake.  Fill in where needed with white tulle and peach ribbon bows, also add more leaves where needed. To make the topper I cut a round piece of designer paper for the top and set aside.  I stamped the doves and the small heart wreath from Classic Wedding Roses then die cut them and colored with Copic Markers.  I cut a strip of acetate and put a fold at the bottom (the form an "L" shape).  I cut a slit in my round paper and inserted the acetate then glued the paper, with the acetate sticking out, to the top of the cake.  I glued the heart wreath to the acetate and then glued the doves to the wreath.  I finished by adding large pearls to the edge of the top all the way around.

Thanks for visiting today!!  Please leave a comment, I really appreciate it.

Gorgeous - such a beautiful design. Reminds me of our wedding cake - just two tiers with cascading red roses - a gift from Marigolds bakers (Willi and Henrietta) where I worked for many years as a Saturday girl and then as a student in the holidays.
