Heartfelt-Foam Paper Flowers Debut

Good morning!
Woohoo, look what we have at Heartfelt Creations, yup, foam paper!  This stuff is amazing!  You heat it and shape it.
This first card is a shaped card inspired by our very own Liz Gaze!  If you have never seen one of her videos you should take a look at the video link I have below.  She is adorable!

Instructions: Other products:  Cactus StazOn, Wilted Violet Distress Ink, Citron Distress Ink, Linen Seam Binding, White Linen card stock, White Neenah smooth, Fun Foam, glue gun.

Instructions: Card size approximately 5 1/4 X 5 1/4".  Cut white card stock 5 1/2" X 11", fold in half and place decorative die outline on one side with the top corner hanging over the fold so that it doesn't cut the top all the way out (see Lis Gaze's tutorial on shaped cards).  Place the top plate up to but not over the straight side of die so the it does not cut the center of the card and then run it through your die cutting machine.  Turn the die around and cut the other side the same way.  The bottom will need a bit of trimming between bottom scallops, it should look similar to the top folded edge. Now cut a purple panel the same way to match and glue it to the folded card.  Die cut the inside part of the decorative die twice from white and glue to purple panel. Cut Scallop edge circle from decorative Classic Petunia paper and another smaller circle from same paper. Cut a piece of Fun Foam to fit smaller circe to pop up.  Cut out and chevron the ends of My Wish For You (from Classic Petunia Paper). Use Vibrant Violet Stazon to stamp Enchanted Mums on the Art Foam Paper and die cut then sponge on Wilted Violet to color.  Use Cactus StazOn to stamp Wildwood Florals on Art Foam Paper and die cut (no extra color was added).  Die seam binding to match for bow, scrunch up and let dry.  Use your heat gun to heat foam mums which will cause them to curl upward, use your hand to cup it after heating to help with the cupping action to form your mums using several layers (a glue gun works best for gluing the foam together).  Punch a small whole in the center of layered flower and insert stamen. Heat Wildwood foam flowers and shape each petal by twisting and pinching. Layer and add small pastel stamen. Stamp Dogwood leaves using Bamboo Leaves Memento and coloring with New Sprout Memento Ink, form and add to flower arrangement.  Add light green pearls and glittered dragon fly (from Enchanted Mums).  Make a bow and add to top of card.

Instructions: Card size 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" Stamp roses with Pickled Raspberries and Daisies with Lemon Yellow (permanent ink like Staz-on works much better for the foam paper). Die cut then add color to the ends of the paper with more distrss inks.  Heat foam with heat gun or iron and then form. Glue together with a glue gun for best results.  Punch small holes in the centers of the daisies and stick the stamen through the holes. Glue from the back and cut off excess stems.  Die cut 2 Raindrops on Roses decorative dies from white linen.  Stamp sentiment with Pickled Raspberry and die cut with Oval.  Die cut scallop oval from pick decorative paper from the Classic Wedding Collection.  Die cut 4 Basic Borders and cut a rectangle from Classic Wedding Paper. Make a frame with the basic borders and miter corner then glue to the back of rectangle pink paper then glue it to the white folded card. Foam tape decorative dies and butt them end to end on the rectangle. Glue the pink scallop oval to the center of decorative die cuts and foam tape white sentiment oval to the scalloped oval. Glue a white seam binding bow to left corner. Use glue gun to add roses and daisies to the left side of ovals and add leaves to fill in.  Finish with white pearls on the corners and on the decorative die.

Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
How do you transform your mind?  By reading and studying God's Word the Bible.  By NOT watching what is evil and watching what is good, (you will know what is good and acceptable in the sight of God when you read and study His Word) by not speaking evil but speaking life into other people, encouraging, uplifting, doing good unto others. Being thankful and praying always.

Heartfelt-Happy Birthday Fold Out Card

Good morning!
It's time once again for some Young At Heart cards.
Both of these cards are Birthday cards for that someone special!
These classics can be colored as restored classics (like some of my friends do in real life!!) or they could be colored to show their real age...like my farmer neighbor.
Well today, my classics are restored because they want to look as young as they feel!!
The Moped reminds me of a Tom Hanks movie.

Instructions:  card size 6" X 7".  This card was very easy because I used the pre-cut foldout card and the car images on the designer paper from the Young At Heart Collection...I just had to die cut them!! I added designer paper to each side of the foldout and cut some grass from other papers in the collection to make ground going all the way through the card when opened. I cut out the fence with the moped from the paper as well.  The only stamping was the Happy Birthday Banner and the sentiment inside die cut with the Spellbinders die.  Well, I actually stamped, die cut and sponged color for the flowers and greenery too.   Once my flowers were formed it was easy to put together.
The borders were die cut from a coordinating blue card stock.

Instructions: card size is 6 1/4" X 6".  Fold the insert (6 1/4" X 13") and make a 3/4" score at the top of the large back panel then add a  5 1/2" X 6 1/4" piece of white card stock to the score to make a back for the card so that it stands up-right. Cut paper from the Young At Heart designer paper to fit each layer and glue in place then glue the front, shorter fold up to make a pocket in front for a large tag.
Cut two borders out of the designer paper from the Delicate Borders die, one from the Border Essentials and one from the Ornate Borders and Pockets die (for the tag).   Glue the borders on and cover edges of the two Delicate Borders with some pretty ribbon, tie a bow and glue it to the top left back panel.  Stamp, die cut and color the Window Box Fillers, the car, plane, happy birthday banner, greenery, and palm trees. I used Copic markers for everything except the flowers and greenery, I sponged them with Cantaloupe, with Summer Sky and New Sprout Memento Inks. I stamped and die cut an extra propeller for the airplane and popped it up.  My flowers were formed and filled, blue with Prills and cantaloupe with Stickles for centers.  I used some "tiger eye" baubles as fillers with my flowers. The car and pane and popped up with foam tape.  For my tag, I stamped the sentiment with teal onto designer paper and cut it with the Large Oval Die and the mat with the Small Ovals. I cut a rectangle 4" X 3 1/8" for my tag and made a coordinating second layer for it and then glued the Ornate Border to the top, glued the ovals on at an angle and then glued my flower spray at the top.

Heartfelt -A Tropical Road Trip

Good morning!

This week we are debuting the new Young at Heart Collection...It is so cute with cars, trucks and planes.
I decided to go the tropical "route" for my travel card today.  The piece of paper I used on the last page with the truck under the Palm tree was my inspiration for the entire card.

Brown Fun Foam used to raise the Journey letters.

Instructions:  6" X 6" Tunnel Card.  I decided to get my tropical supplies out for this card because of the panel I used for the last page, a truck under a palm Tree. Sometimes a piece of paper is the inspiration that gets me going and that was definitely the case with this card.  I started out by putting the tunnel card together and then finding, measuring and cutting paper for each side of each page. I cut my paper to size and then place the right size circle in the hole and draw a line with pencil, take the paper out, line up the die and cut.  I will cut both panels needing the same size hole at one time.   Sponge the edges of each panel with Distress Inks (in this case I sponged each page a little darker shade of the paper color). Cut the circle frames for each hole with a coordinating card stock using the circle dies large and small sets.  Sponged a darker shade on the inside of the circle frame.  I then started stamping and die cutting all the embellishments I wanted to use, either sponged color on or used my Copics to color, formed all the flowers and put them together to have everything ready for building my "book" tunnel card.  For the front and back of my book, I glued ribbon on before adding my paper so that there would be a little tie to hold the book closed.  To decorate I always start with the cover and work my way down.  I thought the beautiful birds would be perfect for my theme, so placed them with foam tape and added greenery and flowers around them.  My "Journey" was stamped and die cut twice so that I could raise the letters. I used brown Fun Foam between the layers to elevate.   My next page has the fun classic truck colored in a light coral.  I added the "best wishes" banner to the back of the truck, some decorative corners, and Hibiscus as well as land for the truck to travel over.  Page 2 features the classic convertible, a palm tree, flamingo, plumeria and decorative pockets.  Page 3 features the VW Bug, palm tree, flamingo, hibiscus, plumeria, and decorative window topper (from Winter's eve) and the last page features my inspiration panel with the truck and palm tree (the center circle is popped up with white Fun Foam),  it also has the decorative pockets, plumeria, and decorative window topper.  All the small flowers, I used throughout the little book as fillers, are from the Wildwood Florals.

        Psalm 8:3-4

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,

What is man that You are mindful of him...

Psalm 139:13-16
13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;[b]
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

Heartfelt-Coral Reef Tunnel Card

Good morning!
Breaking away from fall this week I have a nice cool underwater tunnel card book to share.  I LOVE these tropical colors, tropical flowers and beautiful serene fish just swimming around in their little underwater paradise.

Some of the seaweed on the cover was made with dyed gauze.

Each page has a different scene to take in like a children's quite book.

On this page I've used some real shells on the bottom

There is an actual real seahorse on the cover along with real shells.

Heartfelt- Coral Reef Tunnel Card

Products:

Instructions: Other Products: Distress Inks: Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberries, Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Copic Markers: R21, R14, R22, R20, R00, Y11, Y15, Y38, BG11, BG32, BG15, V12, V15, YR04, C01, C02, C03, C05, C07, E00, Gauze, knotted twine, eyelash trim, ribbon, 3-M foam tape, Pearls, real shells, real seahorse

Instructions:  Card size is 6 X 6.  Put the layered circle card together.  Choose papers and cut each 6 X 6 paper to fit leaving a small border then cut circle out of the center of each to match the page it is going on.  Make circle frames from coordinating paper for each opening except the smallest circle page (you will use the port hole for the frame on this page.  Stamp, color (sponged with Distress Inks) and die cut all the flowers for the
front of card (before gluing front cover on to the top, secure a piece of ribbon to make a tie for keeping card closed, same for the back cover). Form flowers and glue together then add white Prills to stamen and centers.  Stamp, color and die cut fish, porthole, coral reef and shells and arrange on desired pages. Tear pieces of tan paper for bottom of pages with that have no sand at the bottom already. Stick some eyelash trim under some of the glued on sand.  Decorate each page with coral reef, shells, and twine.  Die cut several scrolly leafy die cuts (from Cut Mat Create) from a green paper out of the Blazing poppy collection and die cut pockets from a piece of coral paper, glue pockets to tops of pages 3 & 4, cut up and glue pieces of scrolly leafy die cuts throughout card.  Finish with pearls and white Prills at the bottoms of each page.  Die and add gauze to some areas at the bottom of pages.  Add pearls throughout card top and bottom (these work well for spacers).  Some of the fish and seahorse is popped up with foam tape as well.

Thanks so much for visiting today!
Robin
