Our Daily Bread Designs-Wishing

Good morning!
Today I have for you a Valentine (could be for any occasion) for a friend!
Another idea for our month long challenge!
The New is: Wishing and Wishing Words.

I have used the (new) January release Wishing die and Wishing Words
I also used the (older): Asters, Ornate Hearts, Boho Background, Rectangles and
I double cut Wishing with white and pink as a shadow. Each Aster layer was cut twice, shaped and glued together. I sponged a bit of pink on for color and added some fringed pink mulberry paper in the centers.  I cut the Shabby Rose paper a tiny bit smaller than my white layer and glued them together.  I then used the straight edged heart to die cut through both layers.  I Added the Boho Background to the back of the cut then foam taped it up from the folded card base.  I then made my heart frame by cutting the outer scalloped heart and again using the inner straight line heart to cut out the center and glued it in place.
My sentiment is White heat embossed to a piece of Shabby Rose paper and die cut with a small rectangle die (which I then shortened with the same die). I matted it twice to go with the other layers, added a bow and glued my flowers in place! Done!  Easy peasy.
You can find this card on the challenge blog site HERE along with a card from my sister "breadstick" Chris. Please visit Chris's blog post to see her card and how she made it.

Thank you for visiting today!
I Wish you happiness and joy in your New Year!
My prayer for you for the New Year is:
Colossians 1:9-14
"... to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed usinto the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins".

Our Daily Bread Designs January Look Back

Good morning!
Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs January 1st Release, here is the card and the project I created. For more inspiration using the January Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

This card is different from my usual colorful cards, I wanted to do something in gray tones, white and silver.
ODBD stamps: Wishing Well, Wishing Words
ODBD dies: Wishing, Stitched Ovals, Double Stitched Rectangle, Leafy Edged Border, Flourished Star Pattern
I started this card with two panels 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 and embossed each with a different folder, cut one with the curved plain Leafy Edged Border then glued it to the bottom of my brick embossed panel and die cut both together with the Flourished Star Pattern outside stitched die.  I then cut another Leafy Edged Border using one of the decorative edges for my border between the two different embossings and glue it down.  I stamped my Wishing Well and die cut it with one of the Double Stitch Rectangles and cut the second Double stitch rectangle "frame" out and glued it on.  The Wishing Well was colored with Copic Markers in both warm and cool gray tones and a "grounding" done with cool gray tones.
I dyed my ribbon to match and was extrememly happy to find gray pearls in my stash!  These were together mounted on a card folded base.  I now stamped my sentiment and die cut with the Stitched Ovals and die cut my "Wishing" from a print silver.

I also did a book marker with the Bible Journal stamp "Your Mercy"
This second one is with a slight variation (I sponged the edges with Sky Blue Brilliance Ink).  I'm not sure which one I like better!!

I hand cut my tag after tracing a store bought tag  because I wanted it to be longer.
I wanted to use some bright happy colors for this tag (which I gave to my hubby because he loves book markers!!).  This stamp is very easy to color and you can use any number of color combos...I love it! I used it in my Bible and used it for a tag...I think I will make some gift tags now...I have lots of friends at church who would love a book marker like this!
You could also mask off the scripture reference and use this anywhere in your Bible, or Planner, Calendar, diary..you get the picture!

Be sure to visit each designer to get some GREAT inspiration!!

ODBDSLC269 Something Old and Something New

Good morning!
Welcome to another challenge from Our Daily Bread Designs.
This year we will be doing things a little differently, there will only be one challenge per month and you will have until the end of the month to enter.
This month we want you to use something old (from your stash maybe, I used the older "deer" stamp and something new, I used the new Wishing die from ODBD).

ODBD stamps: Quiet Waters, Wishing Words
I stamped and die cut my deer image and then die cut a black mat to enhance the image.  After coloring with Copic Markers I used a white painty pen to add shimmer lights to the water and spot on the fawn.  I die cut a white panel with the outer die of the Flourished Star Pattern set then also die cut a white panel with the Vintage Flourish Pattern (trimming each edge to fit inside the stitch lines of the bottom panel) 1" white satin ribbon was used to embellish along with black pearls.
Wishing was cut once in black and once in white and stacked offset.
The "you happiness" is part of the new set of words (Wishing Words) that coordinate with the Wishing die.

My husband said that this image reminds him of Psalm 23

Psalm 23 (NLT)

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd;

I have all that I need.

He lets me rest in green meadows;

he leads me beside peaceful streams.

    He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
    bringing honor to his name.
Even when I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
    protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
    My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
    forever.
