ODBDSLC280-Challenge Reminder

Good morning!
This is my reminder for our challenge this month!
It's a great sketch challenge but as you can see, it may be interpreted in your own way or direction.

sketch
I decided to make my circle elements ovals and triangles (the tree) on this card. But basically this is the same sketch.
I used an embossing folder from Cuttlebug for my background and a previously made background panel was used to die cut the Vintage Borders, tree and mat behind the embossing. I made the teal panel with Color Burst watercolors. I die cut the string of lights and put Stickles on the bulbs.  The tree is white embossed.  My star for the top of the tree is from the Holy Night Nativity die set.
I just added a nice sheer teal ribbon bow on the side and Liquid Pearls to the embossed background to top it off.

ODBD November New Release Reminder

Good morning!

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs November Release, here is the card I created featuring Snowlake Sky, Snow Crystals and also the Peace Border from the October release. For more inspiration using the November Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

This is my clean and simple (CAS) snowflake design.
My blue/purple background was made using water color paper, spray with water, add Color Burst or any intense color (that mixes with water) then sprinkled with Kosher (coarse ground salt) and set it aside to dry.  It makes wonderful designs as it dries.
I wanted just a strip of the Snowflake Sky so I made a frame with the Pierce Rectangles (narrowing the rectangle by re-cutting one long side side. Make sure piercings are lined up or you get double piercing on part of it).
I cut the Peace Border from scrap background paper (the blue/purple) and cutting it again in white, glued them together and glued under my snowflake Sky panel then added two tone purple ribbon over the edge then glued it to the card base.
Next I cut out my Snow Crystals with more leftover background and glued them to the top portion and added rhinestones.

My second card features the Snowflake Sky and Snow Crystals as well.

I also used the Pierced Circles and Pierced Ovals.
This was a sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers that I thought would go well with these dies.
My backgrounds were already made and in my stash...I love having a stash!
The pink background is done with Radiant Pearls (gold and pinks) and the turquoise snowflakes were cut out of a water color salted background.

DRS Everyday Like Christmas!

Good morning!!
This card was done for a color challenge (See the color palette below).

I've used the new DRS new release 1024F Potted Berry Tree, Good Friends sentiment and also 487L Season's Greetings.
I admit, these are not the typical Christmas colors but hey, every year it seems they come out with new colors for Christmas so,why not!
I also used double stitch dies from ODBD to do all the mats and framing.
The upper corners have blue Liquid Pearls added to it and I've added paper Candy Dots to the corners.
That's about it!

ODBD November Special Holiday Release

Good morning!
Oh my goodness, aren't these new ornaments gorgeous!
I love the new mix of papers too, traditional Christmas colors are always
commendable!

ODBD stamps: Christmas Ornament
I stamped and die cut my ornament then colored and added some Liquid Pearls to dots, added Prills to the flower center and cut greenery then made a bow.
I cut two rectangles with the Pierced Rectangle dies and two different papers from the new collection then cut a Filigree Frame out of ivory.  I cut a red layer with the pierced rectangles, a layer of ivory and the card base from dark red. Layered and popped up layers, popped up my ornament then added the greenery and bow.  Finally, I added some ivory pearls and called it good.

My next card is done with the same Christmas Ornament stamp set, embossed in white on red stock.
ODBD stamps: Christmas Ornament
I stamped, embossed and die cut my ornament then set aside while I built up my card base.
I used the Snowflake sky die to create my background along with the new Holly Jolly paper.  I die cut my Ornate Oval frame in white then used the Ovals in red and the inside decorative oval of the Ornate Ovals with the red Holly Jolly paper.
Layered and popped then added my pearls, white "greenery" and bow!

Job 37:5-6
God thunders marvelously with His voice;
He does great things which we cannot comprehend.

DRS Challenge #252 Nature's Bounty!

Good morning!
Time for a new challenge at DRS Designs.
Use any image, any die cut, any punch, technique..but it needs to have a Harvest, Thanksgiving, or Fall theme.

I also used and embossing folder by Darice, acorn die by Spellbinder, rectangle and oval dies by ODBD and foam tape.
I colored mt image with Copic Markers and die cut it with a stitched oval and then made two oval mats to frame.  I cut the frame and popped it up over the wonderful fall embossing on the white background. The image and mats are also popped up.  I added the acorns and leaves to the corners and stamped then divided my sentiment and glue it in place.

ODBDSLC280-Sketch

Good morning!
Time for a new challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.
A new sketch to inspire you!
ODBD stamps: Merry & Bright
ODBD dies: Christmas Lights, Snowflake Sky, Doily, Pierced Circles
I used the outer doily die to cut the scallop frame and the vellum. The background was sprayed with Dylusions spray inks on aluminum foil (or any non porous surface) and then sprayed with lots of water and my paper dunked into the inky puddles sort of speak.  When dry,  I cut the "Snowflake Sky" in white and glued it (and the frame that comes with it) to the top of the background that I made. I cut 2 strands of "Christmas Lights", colored them with a purplish color and glued them to my hand cut banner which is popped up with foam tape.  The sentiment is cut with a pierced circle then popped up and  matted with another pierced circle.
I added some rhinestones to the background for some extra bling.
In real life my bow and sentiment matches perfectly so I think the embossing powder and the shimmer of the ribbon must bounce light differently.

Please visit my design team sisters for more inspiration

Here is the sketch, have fun!

Ephesians 2: 8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

DRS Challenge #251 Hot Trend-Trash To Treasure

Good morning!
Recycling today!!
Use any image, any technique, any die cut.. but be sure to include or use something you'd normally throw away..think acetate packaging, ribbons, flowers, papers, magazines, etc..

I started this card with a piece of yellow card stock and found a piece of shipping bag, cut one side off and used the inside to paint and smack onto the card stock then painted it again with lighter colors and smacked it again (so, first I used trash to paint my background paper) I then found an acetate package that held clear acrylic snowflakes so it had a built in "box" shape to it.  I cut away everything except a bit around the "box" (to put glue on) and used it as a shaker container for my card.  It works perfectly.  I filled it with beads and acrylic leaves.  I stamped the DRS 1017H Wheat Give Thanks on white then sponged Tea Stain and Amber on it, covered the back of my box and glued it in place.  I wrapped brown ribbon around my background piece and then I glued the entire background and box to a brown card, added a bow, some die cut wheat, and a button with floss.

To enter, show us your card  by linking it HERE & please be sure to link back to DRS. The deadline for this challenge is Wednesday, November 9, at 6:30 pm ET and please link new creations only (no back dated or duplicate entries). Be sure to let us know what you re-purposed. We are now limiting the number of entries to 3 per personChallenge entries don't have to use DRS Designs stamps, but if you use them on your challenge card, you'll get an extra entry into the prize drawing.

ODBD November New Release Blog Hop

Good morning!
I'm so excited to show you these new stamps for Christmas!
My first card features the new Jingle Bell Time stamp set.
Today I've done the bells in silver remembering my favorite Christmas song from the radio when I was a kid growing up, "Silver Bells."
The card I did for the pre-release had golden bells (you can see that one below).

I used the Fancy Fold card, Tri-Fold for this project, along with the new Snow Crystals die, Squares, Lovely Leaves and Snowflake Season Collection paper.
I stamped my image and sentiment then color my image with Copic Markers and die cut.  I cut my Snowflake Season paper into pieces to fit the card and cut a darker red mat for each then glued them to my card and proceeded to decorate.
I glued my image/sentiment to the center and made little foliage bundles for the top 2 corners with red bows (like I would do at home for corners of a mirror or window).  The red cord I have is 3 strand and when untwisted it makes a nice curly cord, I used this to "hang" my silver snowflakes.
When your recipient receives this type card, they can display it the whole Christmas season for all to enjoy.  It folds flat to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 and can be mailed in a regular card size envelope.

This next card features the new Merry & Bright set.
I decorated the 3 panels inside and out with the Snowflake Season paper and red card stock, glued the borders to the top and then die cut all my snowflakes and leaves (it took a lot of leaves).
I stamped, die cut and colored my lights and then stamped and embossed my sentiments on separated pieces of white card stock and die cut.
Now I'm ready to decorate.  I attached my sentiments and then started working my foliage like a braid, white leaves, then pink and green pine branches down the card like a stair banister.  I then glued my lights to the foliage and added the little red bows.  I added the white snowflakes to the center red panel to bring it all together.

From the November pre-release
