Heartfelt Creations You Are Bee-utiful

Good morning dear friends!

Here is another sweet Bee Maiden
card, they are so cute!

I've used the hexagon for the sentiment.

This is a gatefold type card with the maidens interlocking
But I've also made a band closure to go with it to help
keep it closed, it slips on and off.

I've added a few mini 3D coneflowers in purple
made with the Classic Sunflower.

 Other Products:
White Linen card stock,  bright white Neenah smooth card stock, Pearl halves, Copics: Y32, Y11,Y15,YR24, Y38, YG03,YG05,B00,B01,B02,E00,E01,E93,C01,C03,C05,E42,E43,E44,E50,E31,E34,E37,E29,R81,R83,R00. Green card stock

Instructions:
Card size: folded 6 1/4 X 4 1/4”  Open: 6 1/4 X 12 1/2” Start with 2 pieces of 8 1/2” X 5 1/2” card stock and score each at 2 1/8”, 4 1/4” leaving the last 4 1/4” un-scored on both.  Cut about 1/8” off of one of the pieces at the un-scored 4 1/4” side.  This one will be glued to the top of the other 4 1/4” piece on the other panel (make sure to turn one around so that each has the 2 1/8” scored part on the ends).  Fold on the score lines making a hinged gatefold closure.  This allows for the entire card to be viewed while open, on a normal gatefold card you would not see the front when you open the card to view the inside.  Cut decorative paper from the Sweet as Honey Paper Collection to fit on each panel leaving about 1/8” border around each.  Cut 2 Sweetheart Borders and one Festive Holiday die from white linen.  Fold each Sweetheart Border in half so that each side is the same and is even on the upper edge.  Place the fold on the first fold of the “gate” and measure from there to cut off both ends, this way the edges will be matched and even while closed.  The inside ends should meet the Festive Holiday die for a continuous border. Set this card base aside.
Stamp, die cut and color two Bee Maidens, 5 little bees, 1 Bungalow, Backyard Blossoms, Classic Sunflower, and Wildwood Florals (the images are colored with Copics except for the Wildwood Florals, they are stamped and color sponged with the Archival Tiger Lily, Buttercup and Magenta).  Form the smallest Sunflowers to make them into Coneflowers and use glue to build up the centers with Prills, glue a wire in the center and set aside to dry thoroughly.  Form the Wildwood Floral smallest blossoms and add Prills to the centers.  Glitter the wings of all bees and the flowers.  Add pearls to the border.  Stamp and die cut sentiment using the hexagon dies. Decorate the card base with all the images and flowers.  The Bee Maidens each hang over the first fold, one on each side so that when closed they meet in the middle (make sure they coordinate so that the card closes properly).  They have foam tape on one side only so they don’t stick to anything when completely closed.
Make a band using white card stock 1/2” X 8 1/2”.  Fold so that there is a 4 1/2” part in the center.  Glue ends together and having the seam at the top (it will be covered with the decorative hexagon later).  Cut a piece of blue decorative paper the same size and cut 2 more Sweetheart Borders.  Glue (top of band only) Sweetheart  Borders, one on top and one on the bottom then trim ends.  Cover band with the blue decorative paper ending with the seam on top in the middle.  Die cut Be Happy honey jar from decorative paper with the hexagon die and make a mat for it.  Add hexagon medallion to center of band to cover seams.  Add pearls to band.  Close card and slide band on from the bottom up to first Bee Maiden to keep card closed.

Other Products:
Gold ball for door knob, White card stock, acetate, center step card template,  Copic Markers:  Y11,Y15,Y17,Y38,Y23,YR24,E50,E31,E34,E37,E29,B00,BG10,B01,YG03,YG25,YG05,CO3,C05,E00,E01,E93,V00,V01,V12, grass border punch

 Instructions:
Card size: 5 1/2 X 5 1/2”  Start by making the base from white, I used a center-step template I found on the Internet.  Cut pieces of decorative paper (the plaid) to cover each space, including the inside bottom, then cut more decorative paper (blue with honey cone) a little smaller to place on top of the plaid. Cut a sentiment from decorative paper for the bottom.  Glue all pieces to panels and set aside.  Stamp, die cut and color “queen” bee, little bees, Coneflowers honey pot, little bungalow and the smallest Sunflowers.  After coloring, shape each with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit, on the back side of all pieces.  Use your fingers and squeeze the Sunflowers down into a cone shape.  Use very thick glue to “build up” centers and then add Prills.  Glue wires colored green inside and allow everything to dry thoroughly.    Add a thin layer of transparent glitter to the wings of all the bees (use a sponge or paint brush to apply glue in a thin layer, make sure to rinse glue out of brush or sponge right away).  After everything is colored and all glue is dry, it’s time to put the card together.
Glue house to left side of center, Coneflowers to both narrow sides, the honey jar at the far right bottom next to sentiment, the “Queen” at the top right of center and the Sunflower/Coneflowers next to the house.  Cover bottom with a border of grass.   Glue little bees on, some with acetate to hang off/hover over Coneflowers.  Add Prills in various colors for flowers at bottom, around house, and in pots.  Glue the tiny gold ball onto door for knob.  Some pieces (the Queen, honey jar and some parts of some Coneflowers) are popped up with foam tape.
Inside the card: Cut the decorative border and cover the top with plaid paper.  Glue down just the two ends/sides and the bottom to form a pocket.  Cut the tag out of some coordinating decorative paper and stamp sentiment on it at an angle.  Add a ribbon at the top and insert into the pocket made.

Heartfelt Creations Woodsy Backyard accordion Book

Good morning!

Today's project is a little different than the usual but I really love it!
Years ago Angelica Turner did a special class at our local
store and this type book was one of the projects....I saved it and made a pattern for today's project, so Angelica, thank you very much my friend!

I used a magnet for the closure (under the paper so that it doesn't show).

Inside there are accordion pages that are decorated front and back.

HC PRODUCTS USED

Other Products:
Tan shimmer card stock, green and tan fibers, Liquid Pearls, Copic Markers: Y11, Y15, Y38, V01,V12,V15,YR24,E33,E53,E50,E35,E21,E51,YG03,YG23,YG17,BOO,B01,B02,R21,R24,R29,R59,C01,C03,R81,R83 R17, Fun Foam

For the magnets this video has some helpful hints:   Album & inserts, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/uThSFbPtnYE.

Instructions:
Card size: 6” X 6” X 1”  Start by making the cover for the Accordion “Book” Cut 1 piece of tan card stock 7 ½ X 6” and 1 piece 9 X 6” tan.  Score 7 ½” piece at 6” and 7” leaving ½” as a glue tab.  Score the 9” piece at 6”and 7” leaving a 2” end.  Glue the ½” tab to the inside of the 6” part of the second piece.  Glue one half of magnet set to the 2” piece on the outside and Tape to let glue set.   Place the other magnet half on top of taped magnet and put some glue on the top of it, then close cover, open it again and use the spot of glue left behind as the place to glue the second magnet half after lifting off first half.  Tape glued magnet half and allow both to dry.  Cut Decorative paper for each cover panel leaving a 1/8” border of tan.  Make accordion pages with 2 pieces of tan card stock 11” X 5 5/8” cut one piece of tan card stock 1” X 5 5/8” then score and fold  in half to glue page sections together.  Score both 11 X 5 5/8” pieces at 5 1/2” and glue the two together using the 1” folded tab.  Cut Decorative paper to cover each side of each page.  Die cut “scene” square, using the Cut Mat Create 2A, from the front cover panel then cut a piece of Fun Foam the same size square to fit.  Glue the squares together.  Glue all decorative paper pieces onto cover and pages including the front, replacing the now popped up square in the center square opening.  Tabs will be covered and so will the magnets.
Stamp, die cut and color 1 set of deer, 2 sets of bunnies, 1 set of squirrels,  2 sets of cardinals, misc. small blossoms from Wildwood, Rain boots and Blossoms, coneflowers, The large Coneflower corner, tall Coneflower, birds on umbrella (Songs of Spring), and the Just for You banner.   Cut from tan card stock, 3 Blossom Corners, 3 small Fleur pockets and 2 large Fleur pockets, 1 Ornate Border, 1 border from the Cut Mat Create .
Start with the inside pages, decorate with pockets and blossoms plus wildlife here and there on all pages, both sides.  Using the Luggage and Tag die, cut tags for all the pages, stamping with sentiments or leaving blank for writing.   Add fiber or ribbon to the top of each tag and insert into pockets.  Add fibers to the book binding and then add a small tag on one of the pieces of fiber hanging down the side.  This could have your book title if desired.  The final part of this project is to decorate the front.  The paper including raised center should already be glued down, now glue 2 borders top and bottom of raised center (from Cut Mat Create and Ornate Pockets and Borders).  Add all pieces of Coneflower corner and tall Coneflower to go around raised center like a big letter “U”. This border is popped up in places.   Add the Banner snuggled in one corner and then add the 2 birds from Songs of Spring, 1 on each side at the top. Add glitter to flower petals (I thinned some glue with water and brushed it onto petals then sprinkled with glitter).
