Heartfelt First Christmas

Good morning!
Isn't this baby precious?  He is the new addition to my great nephew's family.
This photo inspired me to make this page using all the blues and whites.

Material list here

 Card size:  12 X 12”

Use light blue decorative paper as a scrapbook page base, splatter with white acrylic paint, sponge some areas with Blueprint Sketch Distress or Distress Oxide Ink.  Tear a piece of darker blue decorative paper from the side all the way across on the top and bottom of paper.  Tear another smaller piece for right side of matted photo.  Curl the torn edges up on both sides of both pieces.

Use a snowflake stencil with white pigment ink on the large piece of dark blue toward the left half of paper.  Glue both pieces of dark blue paper onto 12 X 12 page centering vertically on page with small piece glued to the right side.

5 X 7 photo used in sample, create a plain white frame with the Frame A Card Leafy Border (no insert used) then mate underneath with silver.  Glue photo to white and silver frame then glue it to the page about 2” from right side.

Die cut 2 sets of the Swirly Border Accents (4 pieces altogether) from white.  Cut pieces of white gauze then spread them out to make them thin and not so uniform looking.

Stamp blue cardstock using embossing ink then emboss with white embossing powder the stars and the snowflakes from the Large Holiday Star set then die cut.  Stamp the stars including the large star with Blueprint Sketch Ink, die cut.

Create a large star bouquet at left bottom corner of matted photo including 3 Swirly Borders, stars, large star, snowflakes and gauze.  Create another smaller bouquet of stars at top right corner including stars, snowflakes, gauze and 1 Swirly Border.  Also add a little gauze and 1 snowflake to far left side of page.

Add Crystal Stickles to center dots of each snowflake (including snowflakes on the paper) and snowflakes in the stars.  Add rhinestones to stenciled snowflakes and as desires.

Die cut a “1” and “st” using the ‘Letters and Numbers Die, from dark blue leftover decorative paper and from silver.  Stamp and emboss with clear ink and powder, Christmas onto dark blue decorative paper, die cut then die cut Christmas from silver as well.  Layer silver under letters, number and word slightly offset.  Use pop ups under the 1 st and Christmas then attach to page over the large star bouquet.

Thanks for visiting today!

12X12 Fairy Penny Page

 Good morning friends!

I got this idea from a page I saw on Facebook by a girl named Chrissy, I'm sorry that is all I know about her but I just loved this flying V shaped layout of hers and the colors went perfectly with this photo of my great niece, Penny.  I always liked the colors purple and peach mixed on flowers, I've used it several times on cards in the past.  So Chrissy the fussy cutter, thank you very much for an excellent layout design.

Material list HERE.

Card size:  12x12

Pick a lavender color decorative paper (Sweet Pea Collection).  Spray with Saltwater Taffy (peach/pink-coral) Oxide spray ink.  Sponge with Saltwater Taffy ink pad and Deep Purple ink pad randomly in the flying V shape as shown on sample.  Stamp a few leaves from the Large Urn set at left corner over sponging.  Color with Zig Clean Color markers.

Stamp leaves again using Leaf Green on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, stamp Leafy Accent leaves using green, sponge with aqua and green, also a little light coral color (Saltwater Taffy), die cut, shape and set aside.

Stamp Rustic Sunflowers using Deep Purple, sponge with purple and Saltwater Taffy (Penny’s dress is peachy pink, choose color that best suits the photo using for scrapbook page), die cut then glue 2 same size blooms together for each flower.  Glue a pearl in the center of each flower except large flowers, use something larger if possible (large corduroy covered brads used here).

Die cut 4-5 swirly leaves from the Cut Mat Create 2A from aqua color paper.  Cut 1 or 2 apart to be used around photo and to add to the embellishments going up the left top from photo.  Glue the others center right of photo and photo toward left bottom.  Adhere decorative strip down about 1/3 of the way across the page from left edge. Adhere photo using pop ups on the right side to compensate for the pearl trimmed strip.

Arrange flowers and leaves going up to left top, going down to left bottom and some just to the center right of photo.  Glue all securely.

Stamp fairy using Memento Black, die cut then color with Copics, glue to flowers at left side of photo.  Stamp Magnolia Buds using London Fog, sponge with Saltwater Taffy and Leaf Green, die cut then insert where desired in arrangement.

Make loops with 16” white ribbon, fold the loops in half, secure fold with hot glue then inset as desired.

Glitter fairy wings, buds and flowers then randomly glitter 12 x 12 page.

Like Dancing Scrapbook page

Good morning!
I rarely do scrapbook pages anymore since everyone is grown
but I came across some photos that I had taken of my great niece
a few years back and thought at least one of them would make a
great page, so here we are.
The title came from a painting that Tim Cox did called "Like A Dance".
Some closer photos of the flowers and different parts and pieces.

HC 10 X 10 Candlelit Scrapbook Page

Good morning!
This is my beautiful niece Bailey.  After opening one of her gifts she took the big red ribbon it was tied with and put it on her Santo hat.  I thought it was so cute I had to get a shot.  The photo
is not the best quality but I had to use it, this time will never come again like the running of a stream, it is never the same drops of water that flow by.
It may not look like it in this photo but she is the ultimate cowgirl
and she ropes calves in rodeos too!
She was in high school rodeo doing most all the events including cow "cutting" but after 10 years she likes roping the best.
She is the sweetest cowgirl you would ever want to know!

Other Products:
White cardstock, Ivory cardstock, Dylusion sprays in Red and yellow, Copic: E50, E51, E53, E21, R21, R24, R29, G24, G85, YG61, YG63, YG67, Y11, Y15, Y38, B00, B01, C1, C3

For more tips on creating with the flower shaping molds, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/FSdPL7nXvQE
Instructions:
Size: 10 X 10”  Start with a 12 X 12” decorative sheet with poinsettia corners.  Cut each corner off starting at 6” mark at top and going to 6” mark at side for each.  Cut the center portion of paper down by an 1” on top and bottom also 1” on each side.   Cut a white 12 X 12 to 10 X 10 and glue the center red piece and 4 corners back together to reform page.  Use the cut lines to place 3 decorative borders from the Starry Night Decorative Die cut from Ivory cardstock.  Cut 1 Adorn It from ivory using any of the decorative slits for the picture to slide into.  Find the place where you will glue the Adorn It die cut and make a mark on each side of the slit.  Take the die cut away and use a kraft knife to cut a slit into JUST the red paper (not through the cardstock behind it).  Now glue the Adorn It die cut onto page so that slits match and you can now insert a photo.

Mat a photo with green decorative paper and glue photo to it then insert into pocket (the sample page has the photo glued to the page but you wouldn’t have to do that so that you could slide the photo in and out if desired).  Cut 2 hearts from red and 2 eyelet hearts from ivory, glue together and pop up on 2 horizontal corners. Cut 4 ivory corners from Album tags and Accents and glue them to the 4 corners of 10 X 10” page.

Stamp, die cut and color large candle, poinsettia blossoms and holly with berries.  Shape the flowers with the shaping mold (see video) and slightly shape holly with berries.  Glue 3 layers of poinsettias together and add Prills to the center of poinsettias.  Arrange Candle, poinsettias and holly in the left lower corner of photo pocket.

Add glitter to the page randomly and to the flowers.

My next card is a fun underwater tropic scene using a diorama box with 4 layers plus the back for a real 3D look.

For more tips on creating with the flower shaping molds, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/FSdPL7nXvQE
Instructions:
Card size: 6 1/4 X 6 1/4".  Use the shadow box that comes with the 6 X 6 foldout cards and construct the box without gluing it yet.  Use some foam between the layer tabs at the bottom of the box to keep them apart for display.  Cover the back with decorative Under The Sea Paper (6 1/8 X 6 1/8”) Make sure to put it on going the right direction when box is closed.   Cut decorative paper for the front, sides and back of box.  To cut the opening, place the front paper inside front and trace the opening onto it then hand cut.  Glue front and side on, set aside the paper for the back.

Stamp using black, coral X 3, shells, fish, and plant life(Rain Boots and Blossoms & Backyard Blossoms) on white, die cut and color.  Stamp flowers using Buttercup, Tiger Lily, Deep Purple, Magenta Hue and Rose Madder. Sponge with the same colors and create center colors mixing and matching ink colors above.  Die cut and start the shaping in the 3D Floral Basics Shaping Mold.  While still damp, pinch creases in petals created by the mold just to deepen them.  Glue 2 different sizes together except small flowers which are singles then add Prills to centers and stigma.  Stamp, sponge die cut leaves using Fern Green and Leaf Green.

Glue coral to the front bottom and sides and cut off excess from 1 side (save it).  Glue sand color card stock, shells, more coral to the bottom, divided layer tabs.  Glue plant life mainly on the sides of opening and a little on the back layer.

Stamp sentiment onto decorative water paper then circle cut.  Cut a white mat a little larger then glue them together and glue to the back water scene.  Pop up fish around the sentiment.  Apply Nuvo drops as bubbles on the background coming from the coral and the fish.

Re-construct box now gluing the back tabs onto the back of the back scene.  Cover with set aside 6 1/8 X 6 1/8 decorative paper (or plain white cardstock).  Once glue is set, decorate the top of box with the leaves and flowers. Glitter all the flowers, add pearls around in coral and in shell.  Use Nuvo Shimmer brush on the fish.

Psalm 119:160 New King James Version (NKJV)

160 The entirety of Your word is truth,
And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
A lot of people think that what the social standards are is right and good but that social standard changes constantly...Is that really where we want to put our trust as far as what is right and wrong?
My trust is in God who never changes and His law which He really makes simple, all the commandments can be boiled down to this "Love the lord your God with all your heart, soul, body and mind and love your neighbor as yourself".

Instructions:

The 8 X 8 Insta-Album has all paper sizes on the pages for you so cut all the coordinating paper for the entire album.  Before gluing any paper in, glue all the magnets to designated spots and also decide where you want pockets to be so that you can cut the slots in the paper before gluing to the book. If you decide later that you want a pocket where you have already glued your paper you can still do it, it’s just much harder as you will have to use a blade to cut just the paper not the page where the pocket will go.  The pockets on these new dies have different slot opening shapes you can choose which is fun but just remember if you will be taking photos all the way in and out it might be best to just use the straight edge so that nothing gets bent putting it back in over and over.  The mats and pockets are all cut with kraft and pink cardstock.

The cover: Glue Tulip decorative paper down and cut kraft Lacy Diamond, pink eyelet diamond and photo with Basics Diamond.  Cut the Elegant Pocket Accents using kraft and pink background for top and bottom for the left side.  Also cut a piece of Jute/pearl trim to size.  For the right side of cover cut another piece of trim and 2 corners from the Elegant Pocket Accents from kraft  with pink background.  Stamp and color a pot and Tulips as well (stamp using Desert Sand and color with Copic Markers).  Pop up the pot and flowers.

Inside Cover, left side has the small pocket (Regal Pocket Accents) with the ornate topper cut from kraft.  Mat photo with pink and kraft. Open the flap just decorated and cut the Fanci-Fold pocket for the bottom panel, cut 2 corners for the top panel and mat a 4 X 6 photo with coordinating paper.  Cut 4 tags for the pocket on the bottom panel  and stamp them using Vibrant Fuchsia with the Today’s Quotes, add ribbon.  On the other side, right of Fanci-Fold pocket panel, Cut an Ornate Pocket Accent out of dark pink paper or coordinating paper, cut a kraft top trim.  Mat photo with kraft. This is all that is shown in photos but there are more panels so keep adding photos and decorative additions to each panel and flap on the left side of Insta-Album.

On the right side of album, top open page-Cut Regal frame out of kraft and back with pink. Cut photo to fit inside.  Open, decorate the other side top flap with the Adorn It, lift flap and decorate inside with a journaling panel and another photo with the bucket of tulips stamped, colored and die cut to embellish the photo. Move over to the right side [of the right side of album] and cut a kraft eyelet heart, pink heart and photo heart then stamp, color and die cut a bouquet of tulips to embellish photo.  Open up again where magnet has pages shut and decorate both left and right panels showing. Left side has an Eyelet Oval cut from kraft with the inside part of the Intricate Swirl Frame cut out of pink over the photo of tulips.  Open the flap and decorate with a sentiment, the inside part of the Regal Frame and a butterfly layered stamped on vellum, embossed with gold and colored on the wrong side with the darker pinks of the Copic markers.  Sentiment is stamped with Morocco on pink cardstock. The bottom part of this left side is another tulip photo matted with pink in the smaller pocket (Regal Pockets), 2 corners from Elegant Pocket Accents and the slot cut out from the larger Pocket (Adorn It Pocket).   On the right, fold all the way out flat, 2 narrow panels, both have the windmill photos embellished by the Fence stamped on kraft and the Tulip Cart stamped on white then colored and die cut along with the row of tulips from the Tulip Cart and Fence set.  One of the windmills is framed with the Hand-Stitched Accents.  Moving on to the left part of this fold out, cut 2 of the Adorn It Pocket Accents, 1 for the bottom flap and 1 for the top.  Mat a photo to slid into the pocket on the bottom flap (the top Adorn It is not made to be a pocket, just decoration.  Open these flaps to reveal the inside which is decorated with more photos.  The bottom inside uses the Eyelet Hearts and Basic Hearts to cut the photos, mats and embellishments.  This is all of the album photographed…There are extra sides to decorate on this side as well.  This 8 X 8 book hold a lot of decorations and photos…I love it for an all-in-one scrapbook.  Perfect for a special occasion or trip.
To finish this album, Add fibers, tags and beads to the bindings.
