Wonderful Christmas Window Card

 Hello Friends!

Card size:  5 X 6 7/8”

Make a shaped card with the outer die of the Simply Classic Rectangle Frame (see video: How to Create Decorative Shaped Cards for All Occasions (heartfeltcreations.us) Cut another front from the decorative stripe and decorative light blue papers.  Use the Decorative Frame in the die set to cut out the light blue piece.  Glue the stripe to the card front then cut a white and a gold decorative frame with the same die. Glue the white and gold together slightly offset then glue to the card. Glue the blue paper inside the frame.

Use the curved edge rectangle to cut away the card front center making a window to the inside.  Use the light blue scrap to cut the smaller center rectangle then glue it to the center of the window (inside card). Use the smaller decorative rectangle die to cut out a white and a gold frame for the center around blue. Glue them together off-set then glue to the inside of the card around the blue center rectangle.

Stamp birds (3 different birds, 1 with poinsettia) and 2 pomegranates using black ink, die cut then cut away greenery from 2 smaller birds and color all.  Round the backs of birds and pomegranates slightly then add foam to the backs.

Add small birds to the pomegranates then glue to the window frame's left top and right bottom corners.  Glue the poinsettia bird to the inside right.

Stamp sentiment using Vermillion, die cut, then pop up on the inside of the card left of the poinsettia bird.

Use Stickles or other glitter to make the greenery and pomegranates sparkle. Use Nuvo on tiny filler.

Use the Delicate Border Die to cut each 4” section.  Cut 3 pieces of light blue decorative paper 3 7/8 X 6 then cut tops to match card base sections and glue to card. Cut 3 white Delicate Borders and glue one to each section matching curves cutting off excesses.   Cut 2 Starry Night half circle doilies and glue one to the back of each side.

Cut 3 Botanic Windows, cut the center decorative part for two of them.  For the last window cut one of the sentiments from the decorative paper using the arch die from the Botanic Window. Cut a piece of foam sheet with the window die and glue foam, window and sentiment together.  Cover the top with holly and poinsettia.
Choose two scenes for the other two windows.  Cut them out with the arch part of die.  Glue foam to the frame of the windows to pop up away from the outside scene then glue scenes to the foam.  Glue each completed window to the 3 sections.

Stamp (using black), die cut and color Candles and holly.  Stamp, using black, sponge with Red and die cut poinsettias.  Shape in the 3D molds then glue 2-3 layers together for each flower.  Add Prills to the centers. Glue a candle to the window of the first 2 windows (the ones with outdoor scenes) then glue small poinsettias to each candle arrangement.  Glue holly around the tops of the windows then glue one medium size poinsettia to the first section window.

Attach pearls to windows, top outside corners of card, and bottom outside corners of card.  Randomly add glitter to the card and scenes.  Glitter all the flowers to complete.

Now for a lovely sunset wildlife scene.  Are those wildflowers at the top? Could be since all these things are all around our house especially in the spring.

Heartfelt Creations- Window Shadow Box Card

Good morning!
We have a cute window scene today with lace curtains and everything!
I've used a scoreboard to create the wainscot half wall.
The pink poinsettias have some glass beads for center (I dyed clear glass beads with a Copic refill).
My water wheel scene inside (the box) is filled with sparkly glitter!
In the winter at our house when it snows we turn on the outside lights, just sit and watch the flakes fall.  Sometimes the flakes are huge and I wonder how they still fall so slowly and lightly like feathers floating in the air! But small flakes or large, in the morning the scene looks like what you see in the little window I've made with the sparkle and everything (well, no water wheel).
I so absolutely love the paper in this release!  It has such pretty colors and designs. Even though there is pink in this paper there is also red and green so it goes so well with the Festive Holly release as well!

I die cut a deer from the Woodsy Wonderland paper to put inside my shadow box part of the card (hard to see it in this photo).

Heartfelt- Winter's Window Box

Good morning!
Isn't this fireplace scene so cozy?  I love it and today we are peeking in on this family's Christmas decorated room through their beautiful window with a candle on the seal and a pretty window box outside with lovely pink poinsettias.

Instructions: Card size is 5" X 7". I cut 2 pieces of 5 X 7 white linen card stock for the base and and extra piece 5 X 2 folded in half to make a hinge (since I did not have 14 X 5 to make the base one piece).  Glue front and back to the cut out hinge (hinge is cut with die hanging over the fold so that it will not cut apart).  Cut inside and outside designer paper with Labels 4 and then use the small die of the 5 x 7 Elegant labels 4 just for the inside.  Layer the labels 4 and elegant labels 4 together for the inside and glue to the inside.  Stamp, and die cut the fireplace with the Cut and Mat 1B, color then sponge edges with Brilliance Orchid and glue to inside up high enough to add the sentiment using another Spellbinder die to cut.  Next start working on the front.  Glue cut designer paper to front, cut window opening out of card front then stamp, die cut and color the window frame, window candle, poinsettias, and window box fillers. Glue candle to the inside of window cut out. Die cut Raindrops on Roses medallion, window box (all parts) and Window Box Elements and put the window box together adding the box trim and enough of the Raindrops on Roses medallion to reach the bottom of the box.  Glue fillers in (cutting and arranging as necessary to let candle show through window). Add formed poinsettias filled with gold Prills to the front of the box and paint on some snow paste then glitter.  Finish with rhinestones.

DRS Challenge #205 Color

Good morning!
Time for a new challenge.  This week it's all about color.

I decided to make a window looking out at a beautiful snowy scene but indoors we have to have the window decorated right?  So what is better than candles in the window and some greenery with ornaments above the window.   The walls are a blue stained wood (because they live in a cabin in the woods of course!). Christmas is just around the corner and everything is prepared, well in the house on the card anyway!!!

You can also enter your own card there as well!

ODBDSLC265-Color Challenge

Good morning!

ODBD stamps used: Warm Wishes
ODBD papers: Shabby Rose Collection
I started by stamping the outdoor snowman scene first, coloring, glittering and cutting to size.  Next I cut out my window and popped it up over my snowman scene.  I then die cut the candles and all the
greenery and flowers for the top and bottom of my window.
I created my wall with ODBD paper and white paper embossed and inked.  I used the double stitch rectangles for the wall pieces as well as the chair railing.  I then placed my window over my wall and decorated with curtains (lace) and the candles and greenery.  Last was making my banner for above the window.  I used the Warm Wishes sentiment and slightly curved it on my acrylic block.  I stamped in black then die cut using the banner from Bird Cage and Banners.
The Candles come in two sizes, one is this small window decoration and the other is more of a full card size.  I love them both!  I used the flowers from the Christmas Candles set (larger size).

The scripture that I think of today is from Isaiah,  Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.
When it snows before there is any movement by people or animals, the snow is so white, it is so pure...God says that is the way He makes our hearts, our lives when He forgives us of our sins...a fresh start.  We have that through His son Jesus Christ.  John 14:6   Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

ODBDSLC247- Inspiration Challenge

Good morning!
Time for a new challenge at ODBD! Use the inspiration photo below my card to create a card.

ODBD stamps used: Mini Tag Sentiments
ODBD papers used: Rustic Beauty

Isn't this new window set totally cute!  I just love playing with it.  Love the little flowers and flower box too!  I used part of a beautiful border to make the lattice looking design on the flower box because of the picture on the right, it is also popped up with foam tape.  So pretty!  I decided to cut my awning twice to make it striped (that seems to be the thing with awnings!!) It is glued to the top of the window at the top of the awning then I added foam tape 3 thick at the bottom part of the awning to get it to pop out. And, as I looked at these pictures the glass looks dark so instead of making a scene inside like wall paper and curtains as usualy, I made them look like the windows in the photo.  I cut a few extra flowers to fill the flower box a bit more (the set comes with the extra flowers).  My ribbon was dye with ink refills (Wild Plum) and then used under my fence and the bow on top to finish it off!  I used the beautiful papers from Rustic Beauty as my house and a mini tag for the sentiment (it looks like a welcome sign in the window I think).

Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything you do.  Matthew 6: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
You have heard it said that the eye is the window to the soul? Yes, it is, Matthew 6:22 The lamp of the body is the eye.  Be careful what you let your eyes see.  Guard what goes into your eyes and into your heart. All sin starts with a little compromise. Romans 12:2 says And do not be comformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  How do we renew our minds?  By reading God's word and staying in touch with Him daily through prayer.  Have you been compromised by what is going on in the world around you, the political correctness, the popular opinion?  Turn your eyes to Jesus! This life is very short but eternity is forever...you want to be found faithful at the end (of this life) to Jesus.  Don't look to the left or the right, keep your eyes and heart on Him!
Don't know Jesus yet?  Start by knowing that "ALL have sinned and come short" of God's standards Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death". But God provided a way of salvation through Jesus John 3:16, Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us". Accept Him, Jesus Christ, as the only way to receive God's gift of eternal life. John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me". Then confess Jesus as Lord of you life. Romans 10: 9  "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved".  Find someone to tell and seek out a Christian church to get the spiritual teaching you will need to continue on your path.
