ODBD-Special Anniversary Edition

Good morning!
We have been Celebrating Our Daily Bread Design's 8th Anniversary
this week, so here is another "Bronze Beauty" using those special Anniversary Edition dies.
As I wrote a few days ago, the color Bronze, when Googled, came up as anywhere from a reddish brown like copper to a chocolate brown metallic color.
I've done a combination of those colors on my card today!

I used the Winter 2014 paper collection for this card along with some copper (rubbed with oiled Bronze metallic Rub-On), some dark gold, and black for my papers.  I used Perfect pearls, Bronze, for the flower and some mixed fibers.  I also used some gold and brown Prills (US Artquest)
for my flower centers.
ODBD stamps used: Grace's Strength
ODBD paper: Winter Collection 2014

I also made this Gold foiled frame beauty.

ODBD stamps: Grace's Hope, Belles Vignes
ODBD dies: Lavish Layers, Filigree Frames, Double Stitched Rectangles, Rectangles, Flourished Star Pattern

I stamped and embossed the Belles Vignes on white, heat embossed and then ran it through my laminator with gold foil.  The gold foil only sticks to the embossing as it gets warm again when it goes through the laminator.  I then cut my Filigree frame from the gold foiled paper.  The other gold paper used is gold foiled (bought that way), and I used white and black as well.  The bow is gold metal mesh.
I really love the new stamps and dies from the Anniversary sets this year.
They are very decorative and I expect to use them a lot this year!
I think I may experiment with some more foiling as well, that is so fun and really has a rich look.
Oh before you go, today is also the Scavenger Hunt at ODBD.
Make sure you visit the ODBD blog page to see all the details.

Prize Information:
Three winners with the correct answers will be chosen to receive a $15.00 Gift Code to the ODBD store!! Winners will be announced on the blog on March 24, 2016.

ODBD-8th Anniversary Bronze

Good morning!!
To start off Our Daily Bread Design's 8th Anniversary celebration we are
bringing to you our Bronze cards.
I looked up the color Bronze on Google and it showed colors ranging from
a reddish brown (like copper) to a medium brown color.
I decided to do a combo of Bronze colors mixed with a bit of gold.

I used the Winter 2014 paper collection and the Christmas Card Collection 2015 for this card along with some dark gold, copper and vanilla for my other papers.  Perfect pearls-Bronze, and some copper Brilliance ink was used for the flowers and some brown Prills (U S Artquest)
for my flower centers.

ODBD stamps used: Key To Heaven
Make sure you check out the ODBD blog each day this week for the 8th Anniversary celebration!!

ODBD March New Release

Good morning!!
Welcome to our March new release Blog Hop.  We, [the breadsticks from Our Daily Bread Designs], have some fun stuff to show you this month!
For my first card:
I'm seeing stars! New Release Double Stitch Stars! (sorry, I couldn't resist!)
and New release Squares and Double Stitch Squares and
 another favorite, Sparkling Stars,
I also used the Winter Collection 2014 paper
I went metallic and glitter for this shining star card! The Winter paper was a perfect pairing for these star dies and sentiment! The frame was made using the new Squares and Double Stitch Squares and then the stars of course, used the new Double Stitch Star die and the older Stars die...they coordinate perfectly!

New release products

and for my second card I used:
ODBD stamps: new release Key To happiness
ODBD dies: new release KeysSquares, Double Stitch Squares, and another favorite Layered Lacey Squares
ODBD paper: Shabby Rose Collection

I also used some pre-made roses ribbon and lace.
I die cut my keys to match the color of the joints where the wood panels meet in my paper. I stamped my sentiment on one of the smaller Double Stitch Squares using Adirondack Cranberry ink.As you can see I also used two parts of the Layered Lacey Squares and regular Squares to finish my sentiment panels.

And the firmament shows His handiwork.
How can anyone look at the night sky and not believe in the God who created all things?
Can you look around this earth, flowers, trees, the variety of colors and smells and not believe?  The same God who created the universe and everything in it, loves you with such a love as to give all just to have restored relationship with you.  John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

DRS Designs Challenge #207 Any 2015 Challenge

Good morning!
Today is my anniversary!  Yes, we know, probably not the best.  We usually never go out for our anniversary because there are lots of crazies out on the road on New Year's Eve, but that seemed like a fantastic day to us 33 years ago!
I also used thin gold decorative tape (Washi), stitched dies, gold and silver embossing powder and gold and silver mirror paper.  I even did both gold and silver embossing on the Happy New Year stamp; the stars are mostly silver and then the rest is mostly gold.
This card was fast and easy yet has an elegant look for a beautiful New Year's card to someone special.  I really LOVE the new snowflake design and this new Happy New Year in a round design is tons of fun!  It will also fit on the large size of round tags (with the metal rims) that you can buy at the office supply.
Happy New Year everyone!! I hope this year will find you stamping happily more than ever!!

ODBDSLC257-Metallic Color Challenge

Good morning!
Today's challenge is to use metallic gold and/or silver and black and/or white.  I have used Gold, silver and white today.

I used gold and silver glitter paper, gold and silver mirror finish paper, gold metallic ribbon and gold finish Washi type tape for the borders.
For my main panel I took white stock and used 1/2" and 1/4" Score tape to make stripes at a diagonal.  I then uncovered one stripe and glittered it with Micro fine glitter then burnished with my fingers and moved on to the next stripe and so on till I finished.  I used white to make my pine branches (Fancy Foliage) so that they would not get lost in all the silver and gold.  I used gold thread to "hang" my ornaments.  The centers (decorative part) of the ornaments were cut from either gold or silver glitter paper and the backings are the mirror finish which is a little hard to photograph, but if you are giving them out for Christmas that doesn't really matter.  I did my star ornament over my Nativity ornament as my "sentiment" sort of speak.  It tells the story of the birth of Christ as found in Matthew 2:1-2 (and Luke 2:4-14)

This is definitely my favorite time of year when the weather cools and the colors change.  I start to think of Christmas and snow.  The reason it is my favorite above all though, is that it is the time when we celebrate the birth of Christ..."and they called Him Jesus".  I love reading the gospel accounts of the birth of Christ and knowing that it was spoken of in the old testament as well (Isaiah 7:14 & 9:6 among others), it all comes down to God orchestrating and fullfilling His plan to redeem the world through His only Son Jesus.  That is how much God loves each and every one of us.
