Impression Obsession Quick and Easy Card Hop Day 1

 Hello Crafting friends and happy holiday as December begins!

A quick way to make a card is to use decorative paper.  I die cut this piece of 5" square wintery paper in the center with DIE1315 Stitched Squares (which is a 4" square). I then popped out the outer frame and glued the center down to give some dimension.

The scarf is die cut from Christmas Plaid.

I used white glitter paper for the head and green glitter paper for the holly leaves.

The small hearts are from the Primitive Snowman die set.

To me the key to quick and easy is to have a stash of premade background panels!  I usually make a bunch whenever I get my craft sheet out.  I use Oxide pads or sprays and some times Mica sprays.  For this panel I used spray inks and water then added Kosher salt (large chuck salt) to get the fun snowing effect (let the salt dry on the panel then brush it off in the trash).

The ribbon is seam binding that I put in some inky water leftovers on the craft sheet.

Impression Obsession Product Focus-Pattern Paper

 Hi y'all!

I'm on my own today, no hop but I wanted to share a few more cards before I.O. closes permanently (December 2). My cards were made before stock was low. 

Today I'm using pattern paper. I know there are still paper pads available, these are 6 X 6" pads, perfect for most cards.

Impression Obsession Color Challenge

Ok, I know these are different colors for Christmas but hey,

aren't we always coming up with something different?

I was at Hobby Lobby the other day and the fad is pastels for Christmas (like a baby's room pastel), ummm, I think I'm sticking with the good ol' Red and Green, there is just something nostalgic for this "older" lady about those colors.  But today I'm doing the color challenge and this is what I've come up with.

My purple frame is popped up.  I used Liquid Applique for the fur on her boots and the pompom on her hat.  The snow is a combo of Snow Pen and loose glitter.  Both of these products puff when you use a heat gun on them.

I have a container full of white brads, some of which are decorative so I used 3 different ones on my banners.

Impression Obsession Die Cut

 Hello friends!

Today it's all about paper dies on my post.  Today is Designer's Choice.

Just to let you know that everything has been on sale at 50% off at the on-line store so don't be surprised if you can no longer find some of these dies...every day it changes.  

I put 2 papers together then die cut the inside out die 2 times.  I die cut the same die 2 times from light blue then inserted into the space left behind on my decorative paper.

I used a mug die with whipped cream die, colored  then popped it up.
