Elizabeth Craft Designs-3 D Ornaments

Hello Crafting Friends!

I used a jar to see how this would look as a little cactus...cute don't you think?

This ornament was made with a paper that had a dark side and a light side to it, that worked out so perfectly.

2 special ornaments for Easter.  Wouldn't an Easter tree be cute?

Elizabeth Craft Designs-Happy Easter Basket

Good morning crafting friends!

Today I have a very special basket to share.  Easter is fast approaching and this little basket would be a beautiful gift for anyone.  We start with the cute little bunny from the Cute and Whimsical Collection by Joset Van de Burgt for Elizabeth Craft Designs then add them to Paper Flowers Collection basket and flowers by Angelica Turner for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

In case you have not seen them yet, the 3D eggs by Angelica are very fun to do and make a great addition to this Easter Basket.  They have a honeycomb design to make them 3D.

The flowers around the outside are tiny tulips.

Other products: Purple cardstock, Blue cardstock, Green cardstock, 2 tone paper for eggs.
Oxide Inks and brushes.

DRS Challenge #219-B Words!

Good morning!
B is for Beautiful!!
B is for blue, butterflies and bunny.

DRS stamps: 688P Polka Dots, 702D Cute Little Bunny w/Egg, 1068H Three Flowers with Butterfly, 744F Three Butterflies
I also used an egg die, fence punch and grass punch, a frame die (which I popped up), an embossing folder and some glittery enamel dots.

One of my eggs, if you look closely is stamped with the Polka Dots in lavender and colored blue around the dots. The other egg I just added some lines and colored in the spaces.  The little bunny was colored and fussy cut to sit on the frame.  My flowers were masked and stamped twice.
I used a favorite sketch from Splitcoaststampers for my layout and that is about it.
I hope you will join us this week for the B-Word challenge at DRS Designs.
There are prizes that await some lucky winner.
Thanks for visiting today and hope to see you again!

ODBDSLC230-Sketch

Good morning!
Today starts a new challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs
It's the sketch challenge! I turned the sketch upside down.
ODBD dies used: Eggs dies, Beautiful Borders

The sketch

I stamped and cut out my basket then colored it with Copics.  I stamped the eggs in pastel colors and die cut them.  In this case I used all the same size eggs. I used the new Shabby Rose paper collection for my eggs...I love the new paper.
I mounted the (Spellbinders) die on another piece of Shabby Rose paper then Embossed another layer to put on top of it.  I die cut the Beautiful Border and glued it toward the bottom then added velvet ribbon with lace on top of the border cut. I foam mounted the basket on top of these layers and added my eggs and some yellow tulle (like Easter grass) between some of the eggs. I made a bow out of pink tulle to add to the basket handle.  I threaded a button with floss and glued it to the tulle bow.  Last touches were some decoration of a couple eggs with Liquid Pearls in pastel colors!

The Easter egg, besides being a symbol of spring and renewal, the egg has been used to try (with our finite minds) to explain the trinity.  Our God is one but He has three persons in the one. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The egg is one but it has a yoke, a white and a shell.  We won't really understand the three in one till we see Him face to face but I think the egg might be a good example for our poor minds to grasp it a little.
Easter is all about the risen Savior, Jesus Christ.  Because He rose again and defeated death and the grave, we can have new life in Him.  Our renewal is in Christ.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
First we must accept Christ as our savior, He give us a new "heart" and cleanses us from all unrighteousness then read His Word.  We have our minds transformed by the reading of His Word and our faith is increased as well!  Reading His Word is the only way to really get to know our God. Praying (talking to Him) and reading what He has to say, you will draw close to Him.
Thank you for stopping by!!

DRS Challenge #163 All Ears

Good morning everyone!
Today starts a new challenge..."all ears".  Just use an image or die cut with ears.
Today I used the new release bunny ears on my Easter egg.
I used stitched oval dies by Die-namic and A2 rectangle dies by Spellbinders
This was really fun to make and color with all the pretty pastels! I love the jelly beans and making them all colors was my cup of tea. the egg was also very fun to color and blend colors with Copic Markers. To top it off this pink polka dot ribbon seems just the thing.
To join this challenge and/or to see the other designer's cards you can click HERE.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join the challenge, a prize is given each week!!!
