Elizabeth Craft Designs Happy Birthday Jesus!

 Happy Christmas Y'all!

Today we celebrate the birth of Christ!!  Happy birthday Jesus!

Psalms 30:4

Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

I've made this beautiful card using Stamps, dies and paper from the Autumn Harvest Collection at
Elizabeth Craft Designs designed by Angelica Turner.

I used several layers on this card, copper cardstock, gold cardstock, black cardstock, and
decorative paper in layers.

The combination of decorative papers and inked flowers and leaves really make this a
birthday card with elegance.
Put a little shimmer or sparkle on your flowers with fine or chunky glitter. Sometimes it's fun to also give your leaves some shine with Diamond Glaze or other glazing product.
AND
Be bold, mix up your colors when inking!

The Christmas story (in a nutshell) from 2 different accounts.

Matthew 1:20-25

20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:

23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall call his name Immanuel”

(which means, God with us). 24 When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, 25 but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

Luke 2:6-13

And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.[c]

The Shepherds and the Angels

And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”[d]

Elizabeth Craft Designs Thinking of you bird

 Hello crafting friends,

I used the same flower die for both of these flower styles, one is curled inward and one downward.  What a difference it makes.

Wired stamen were used for centers so I used the leftover wire to make curly additions
to the bouquet.

It was fun using a border die to make a frame.

Luke 2:8-13

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And [c]behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a [d]manger.”

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill[e] toward men!”

Elizabeth Craft Designs- Fancy Edge Fall Floral

 Hello crafting friends!

I should make more of these "Slimline" cards, I just love the way they look!  It is finally fall and all my different fall asters are coming alive with color!  I have burgundy, pink, yellow, orange, a variety...I really love the extra burst of color this time of year!

I chose a nice bluish color for the barrel today, I love it withy the rusty bands.
I decided to make a fancy edge with gold and the "pumpkin" border die.  I used the bottom of this border die to make a fun edge on the back/inside of the card as well.

Elizabeth Craft Designs-Special Fold Fall Card

 Hello Crafting Friends!

Here is a special fold that can really showcase paper, dies and stamps.
Using fall colors with metallic gold or copper makes everything pop!  Also, adding a thin solid mat to the decorative paper panels just makes a finished look.

On this card I used stamen as a floral element in the bouquet instead of just a flower center.

Elizabeth Craft Designs-Fall Z-Fold

 Hello crafting friends!

It's time for another fall card featuring the "Autumn Harvest" Collection designed by Angelica Turner for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Today's card is a classic Z-Fold with a decorative border done with Autumn Fancy Borders.

I cut the decorative paper with the bottom die of the border. Each panel is matted with dark brown.

The flowers have about 5 layers of petals each with Prills in the centers.
For the words I just die cut twice with 2 different coordinating colors and off-set when gluing them
together.

Other supplies: Prills, Glitter, colored cardstock, Oxide Inks, and a bit of ribbon.
