Heartfelt Creations Birthday Wishes

Good morning!
I love petunias, they are my favorite hanging basket flower.
My petunias are growing so nicely this year too!  I think all the rain we had this year really nourished the earth with much needed nutrients that had been lacking in recent years because everything is growing well this year!

This is my card for this week's Heartfelt Creations post.

Birthday Wishes

Products:

Instructions:
Other products: Pearl halves, Spellbinder Labels Twenty, Distress Inks-(Shabby Shutters, Twisted Citron, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberries, Squeezed Lemonade), Brilliance Ink-Pearlescent Purple, Mini-Metallics Rub-Ons, Viva Inka Gold-(gold, silver and copper), White card stock, Pink card stock, Crystal Stickles, 3-M Foam Tape.

Instructions:
Card size is 6 X 6.  Start with folded white card 6 X 6 and then layer with pink card stock 5 3/4 X 5 3/4, next is the designer paper from the Classic Petunia Collection, 5 5/8 X 5 5/8 then sponge edges withe Distress Inks. Cut a white Decorative Border from Decorative Borders and Pockets.  Cut a white and a gray Raindrops on Roses die.  Cut the gray one in half to use as a basket.  Rub with the Metallics Rub-Ons and also with Inka Gold, Silver and Copper, giving it an aged iron look.  Stamp, die cut and sponge the flowers and leaves from the Small Classic Petunias.  I did yellow, lavender, purple and pink petunias, add glue and Crystal Clear onto tips of flowers.  Die cut the Wildwood Floral smallest flowers from blue.  Shape all the flowers using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and glue together, add Prills to the centers and add Yellow Nuvo to the centers of the tiny blue flowers.  Stamp sentiment from the Small Classic Petunias onto designer paper to match the small tag cut out.  Edge tag and die cut sentiment with Distress Inks.  Use foam tape under basket and attach 3 strands of cord then tie the cord at the top and loop around Decorative Border where it looks like it could be a hook. Attach small tag to the right top of the border then glue the border down starting at the left top corner (corner to corner on the decorative paper).  Glue the white Raindrops on Roses down on card and then the popped up basket.  Start "filling" the basket with flowers and leaves from Wildwood Floral.  Use the tiny blue flowers as fill in.  Add the sentiment layer to the card on the left side of basket and then add pearls to the border.  Stamp, die cut and color Hummingbirds, add Stickles. Use foam tape to attach Hummers to the card.

ODBD September Mid Month New Release

Good Morning every one!  Today we get to show you another new release for September...that's right, September!!  Our Daily Bread Designs is working overtime to bring you new and exciting designs this month!!
We are calling this our Mid-Month Release and this is our Blog Hop to show it off to you!  I hope you have been enjoying all the beautiful cards you've seen along the way but if I am your first stop, make sure you visit the other designers to see everything new and all the fantastic designs!

This is my first card.  The first thing I thought of when I saw this set was the Wildflower the grows in our Sierra National Forest, the Crimson Columbine.  It is a beautiful red flower with a bright yellow center as you see here.  The stamen are also bright yellow but inside of each yellow petal (shaped like a cone) is a red spot going down deep to meet the red petals.

I used Lemon Yellow acrylic paint on a stylist for the Stamen on this card.
The Hummingbird was reversed by stamping it onto a piece of smooth rubber then using that image, stamped onto paper.  It works very well except ink is a little lighter because of the double stamping.

My next card is another version of the Columbine, found around here but not as common.  The petals are bluish lavender with whitish center petals
For this card I used the Grateful stamp set and the Doily and Lacey Layered Squares die sets.
For this card I used some Prills to make my stamen.  I used some Pearlescent Lavender Brilliance Ink to sponge color on this card.
I also used White satin 1" ribbon, embossing folders and foam tape to give it more texture.
My "extra card"

For this card I used the Grateful stamp set. Columbine are Crimson and the stamen is Lemon Yellow Liquid Pearls.  I used the Boho Background, Faith, Hope & Love, Leafy Edged Border, Vintage Flourish Pattern and Vintage Labels
Extras for this card are 3M foam tape, Embossing folder, 1" white satin ribbon and Liquid Pearls.

ODBDSLC231-Religious Spring and Easter Inspiration

 Good morning!
Today is the start of our new challenge. See the photo below for the inspiration photo.
This week is Religious Spring and Easter Inspiration.

ODBD paper used: Soulful Stitches Collection
Well, my card this week is a little Easter, a little inspirational and a whole lot spring.
My basket is 3-D and FULL of flowers!! I used a craft stick as a gift card holder (my gift card in this case is a ticket to invite you to God's priceless gift of salvation.). Easter is the time when we celebrate the risen Savior.  I also added a cross "charm" to the basket with the bow. The basket sits on a pretty crochet doily but it is still on an outside table that is why we have our friend, Mr. Hummer visiting! I used the top border to represent a trellis or lattice work.
I used a lot of dimensionals on this card to pop up the basket, some flowers the hummer, and etc. I'm not sure how practical it would be to send in the mail but if you have a church friend or someone you can hand deliver it to, then it would be perfect!

Please visit my design team sisters for more inspiration.

To see all the projects created for ODBDSLC231 or to join the challenge click here. You have until March 29, 2015 at 8:00pm EDT to join us. By participating in the challenge, you have a chance to win a  $15 ODBD Gift Certificate good towards the purchase of stamps in the “stamps column” on the ODBD website, or to be spotlighted on the ODBD Blog at our next challenge. The random prize winner will be posted on our next challenge post. Please do not post on Flicker as many of us do not have the ability to comment on your cards nor can we spotlight your cards on the blog.

God's priceless gift...do you know what that is?  John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
v. 17
For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Saved from what you might say. Well no matter what the "world" tells you, there are consequences for wrong doing (sin). His word says that the wages of wrong doing is death.  But the gift God gives us eternal life (not death) by believing in His only son Jesus Christ and believing He died for us and rose again from the dead and we can live forever with Him in paradise. Romans 6:23.
Please read for yourself and check out what I've told you. You should never except what another says about God without checking His word for yourself.
I hope you have enjoyed this little devotional.  Thank you so much for stopping by!
Robin

Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge #227-Use a Silhouette Stamp

MFP stamps used: Oriental Joy and Hum Along
The challenge this week is to use a silhouette stamp.  This MOSTLY solid stamp is the closest I have to a silhouette stamp.  I did my background with alcohol inks on glossy paper.
my circle dies are from Little B.  The sentiment label die is by Taylored Expressions.
I also added a sheer black bow and used an embossing folder on the purple layer.
