Instructions:
Card size: 6 X 6”.  Cut 3 round panels from the Window Scene paper using the outer die of the Rounded Sunlight Die.  Glue these onto the 3 panels of the pre-made card base.  Cut 3 circles from gold using the outer die of the Rounded Eyelet Window Die, cut them again on the inside using the Rounded Lattice Window Die doing 1 with a combo of the two decorative dies and 1 with just 1 patter done twice and the last 1 with the other pattern done twice.  In the center of each gold Window, die cut the row of holes from the Rounded Eyelet Window Die.

Weave ribbon in and out of the holes on each card and secure the ends.  Make 3 bows and glue one to each end.
Glue each to a card panel, 2 with ribbon horizontal and 1 in the center with woven ribbon vertical.  Cut “To A Beautiful You” from decorative paper, fish tail it then cut a mat out of gold, curve banner and glue to first panel top half.  Stamp “I am so grateful for you” using Fern Green onto decorative paper to match and then die cut it with Circle die and cut a mat out of gold then glue it to the last panel at the bottom center.

Stamp Peonies using Rose Madder onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper and sponge with Pink Peony.  Stamp Leaves using Fern Green and sponge with Leaf Green, Stamp Petite Blossoms (Floral Fashionista) using Buttercup and sponge with Buttercup.  Die cut all blossoms and leaves then shape in their molds (see Video) (The Peony uses the Floral Basics Mold).  Pinch some of the blossom ends on the Peonies.  Pierce the centers of the Peonies and insert Stamen.  Add Prills to the centers of the Petite Blossoms.  Glitter all the flowers.  Use Shimmer on the leaves.

Arrange flower bouquets with Peonies for each panel placing them in different spots on each panel so that 1 place is not too thick with flowers when closed.  Insert leaves and then add Petite filler flowers.

My next card features another of the new rounded dies.
I used the same center die with the holes for inserting
pretty ribbon.
These dies inter-mix very nicely!

Instructions:
Card size: 6 X 6”.  Use the premade card base, sponge edges of all surfaces with Deep Purple lightly. Use the new Rounded Eyelet Die with the eyelet outer circle and all 3 inside pieces evenly spaced to die cut a white decorative front for the circle panel on card base. Weave ribbon in and out of the center holes of die cut and secure ends.  Use the half round plain edge die to die cut 2 decorative paper halves for the back side of the Rounded Eyelet die cut made from white.  Glue the decorative paper to the back of decorative die cut and glue to card base circle panel.  Find 2 panels from the Window Scene paper pack (The Lilac ones) that you like and glue them onto the 2 square  card base panels.  Cut 7 Corners out of white  from the Ornate Pocket Accents.  On the back side of the first square panel, sponge more purple about 1/3 of the way end on all 4 corners then glue 4 of the corners to it (this back side shows when card is closed with the circle panel on top of it. Glue 2 corners opposite each other on the front of the first square panel and 1 on the last panel in the bottom right corner leaving top unglued so that it can be a pocket.

Stamp Lilac clusters 4 times using Deep Purple for half and Majestic Violet for the others then sponge all and die cut.  Shape in the shaping mold (see video). Add green Prills to the centers.  Stamp umbrella, scroll and 4 large sprays using black then die cut and color with Copic markers. Stamp sentiment onto scroll with black.  Cut 2 tags from decorative matching paper, add ribbons to the tops.   Stamp Happy Birthday using Deep Purple on the decorative tag for pocket.

Glue spray down in front on the bottom and part of another to make almost a semi-circle.  Glue scroll and 1  spray divided onto the first square panel, glue umbrella and sprays to the bottom of third panel (when gluing on top of pocket make sure to put down waxed paper or foil inside pocket so that it does not get glued shut).

Glue lilac blossoms to sprays to finish decorating and then glitter all the flowers.  Add some lilac Prills to end of sprays where needed.  Insert tag into pocket  Insert small oval tag and secure with glue, on the front. For a final touch, add pearls to the front.
Thanks for visiting today, Black Friday!  I hope you go shopping for your special deal today!

Wilderness Gatefold

Good morning!
I know this card is similar to last week's card but at the
same time it is also totally different.
You'll find this card is a gatefold card using the beautiful
Adorn it die to make the gates.  I also made a beautiful
Belly Band to hold the card closed until
the recipient opens it.
I used rub on metallics to try and make the copper
and black look like aged metal.

Inside I used dyed texture paste to make flower fields.
I also used glue with Prills as well.

You'll also notice that I used the Seaside clouds in the sky.  They are perfect for High Sierra
summer clouds.

HC PRODUCTS USED

Other Products:
Black cardstock, white cardstock, bronze/gold cardstock, snow pen, foam tape, re-inkers in blue, orange, yellow and pink, Copic markers:  YG03, YG17, YG23, YG63, R21, R20, R17, R29, R22, V01, V12, V15, RV10, RV02, Y38, Y15, Y11, B00, B01, BG11, C2, C3, C5, W2, W5, G21, E50, E53, E33, E35, E59, E42, E43, E44, Distress Oxide Ink: Carved Pumpkin, Worn Lipstick, and Mustard Seed, Fun Foam/foam sheet.

For more tips on creating with the flower shaping molds, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/FSdPL7nXvQE
Instructions:
Card size: 6 X 7 1/2". Make a card base by cutting 2 Adorn It dies out of bronze cardstock, Use sponges or finger to add other metallic colors to it with the Mousse colors.  Cut 1 Petite Pocket Accent wide and narrow decorative dies out of bronze, use the mousse on them and glue them together.  Cut black heavy cardstock 6 3/4 X 8” Score the 2 sides at 1”  Glue the 2 Adorn It die cuts to the outside of folded 1” tabs on the sides. Save the Petite Pocket Accent die cuts until the end to glue on top of card.

Scene building: start with 5 7/8” X 6 1/4” white cardstock and sponge the sky area with Orange pink and yellow Oxide inks.  Stamp, die cut and color: clouds, mountains X 2, water wheel scene X 2, stump, squirrel, deer, foreground with rocks an flowers X 2, hollyhocks, flowers from Woodsy set, 2 spruce from Snow Kissed set, cattails.   When cutting out one of the water wheel scenes, make sure to extend the sides out to almost 6” (the die only cuts the top part so this is easy to do as long as when stamping you allow plenty of room sides and bottom of image).  Extend the river edge on the right side all the way to the left side of the panel (ground part of panel is now 3 3/4 X 5 7/8” [not counting trees and waterwheel building]).   Extend the left side of rivers edge on over to the far left as well, no need to use a pen, pencil is fine for this.  Color this entire scene adding “flowers” to ground where there is blank space that needs it.  Add the color reflections to the water, I looked at the decorative paper for this. Now before adding all the popped up elements and animals. Flowers etc.  Use texture paste in VERY SMALL amounts, add a tiny bit of color to each small batch then add more foreground flower patches to the areas where needed. Yellow, orange, pink and blue is what is used here, sprinkle with glitter and let dry.

When coloring the mountains add some “Alpine Glow” to one side or the other for interest.  Add these colors to the clouds.   Die cut extra waterwheel building with tree and die cut the die cut the other tree as well finishing with fussy cutting the trunk.  One set of mountains is glued down to the sky, the next set is popped up.  Add a piece of Fun Foam from the mountain bottom to the bottom of scene panel then glue the waterwheel scene to it.  Now start adding the extra features like the popped up waterwheel building with tree, the popped up extra trees, the Spruce glued on the sides, the deer glued.  Now do the foreground by adding flowers and cattails to the sides (leave most of deer visible) and then the very bottom with the grassy rocks and flowers.  Now glue stump and squirrel to the right bottom of panel.  Cut off any portion that extends over the bottom or sides of scene panel. Making it even all the way across the bottom and sides then glue it to the card base in the center.

For a final touch, add glitter to all the flowers and add some snow pen to the water coming off the waterwheel then heat to puff slightly. Now finally flue the top decorative die cut to the top of card base over parts of the sky.

To make the belly band: Cut a piece of black cardstock 12 X 1 1/2", cut a piece of bronze cardstock 1 X 6 1/4".  Score and fold black strip at 2 3/4" on both sides (it does not meet in the middle but that will be covered). Make sure it will slide over card, if needed make a second score make next to the first to add some depth to the band.  Glue the bronze piece on to the top over part that doesn’t meet.  Add some Mousse colors to the bronze edges.  Die cut the Daydream Bridge decorative die out of black, add mousse.  Die cut eyelet diamond out of black add mousse to edges.  Glue the eyelet diamond to the center of the decorative die from Daydream Bridge.  Die cut a scene from decorative paper with diamond small enough to go over eyelet diamond and glue it to the eyelet diamond.  Cut out sentiment to fit, add fish tails to both side, curve then glue to center of diamond.  Glue this whole decorative part to the front of bellyband so that diamond is centered.  Now slide it onto the gatefold card.

He does great things which we cannot comprehend.

This is my debut card for the Wilderness Retreat.
This collection is really special to me because I live in the Sierra Nevada National Forest
about 15 miles from Yosemite National Park.
We have a history of logging, lumber mills, Giant Sequoia (trees that have been
here and living for 2000-3000 years. The Sugar Pine trees that have pine cones 15-21" long.
We have the highest peaks in the lower 48 states (Alaska has one higher)
and there really is a thing called Alpine glow (what I tried to show on my mountains here).
We don't have wolves anymore but we have deer, raccoons, mallards (and lots of other ducks,
trout, bass, squirrels etc., etc.  We are also know for gold and silver mines up in the mountains
and old, old log cabins.
We actually have a 27 1/2" Rainbow Trout on the wall that my son caught at age 12.
This is truly my happy place.

This is a shadow box card.  I made my own shadow box this time, it is fairly large, total
card size is 8 X 11.

In the winter/spring we have a pond in the front that generally have ducks on it, nesting.  A Mallard and his honey (the ducks on this card).
This is actually a shaped card too with the new Swirly Accent Spray Die

Instructions:
Card size: 8 X 11” .  Use any scrap cardstock size 6 1/4 X 8” as a base to build the scene, it won’t be seen.  Cut a piece of white cardstock 2 1/2 X 6 1/4" for the sky and blend sky colors with Copics.  Start at the bottom with pinks, then yellow and orange back to pink then blue so that colors do not get muddy mixing blue with orange or yellow.  These are “Alpine Glow” colors. Stamp mountains 4 times, die cut 2 whole and die cut the other 2 with just the lower mountains.  Color these adding the Alpine Glow to one side or the other on the mountains and the rest in granite colors (the cool and warm grays).  This is what the mountains look like in the evening up in the higher elevations (in the Sierra Nevada Mountains where I live).    Glue 1 set of mountains onto sky (at about 1” down from top) then pop up the rest making 4 layers of mountains.  Tear a piece of white 1” X 6 1/4" and color it the same green as grass for bottom mountains.  Glue it over where the grass ends.

Stamp, die cut and color cabin with canoe trout stream, stump, wolf, ducks, cattails, flowers, extra rocks and trees, foreground with rocks and flowers, extra bottom duck, extra cabin with canoe, extra wolf.  Die cut trees only on trout stream.  Arrange cabin with canoe on the left with it’s shore line, add trees from trout stream to the middle then wolf scene on the right.  Extend left side drawing in with a pencil.  Extend right side by adding extra rocks, the stump, flowers and cattails.  Pop the other cabin and canoe on top of the other.  (Pop the other wolf on top of wolf in scene later after box is made, same with the extra tree). Die cut fish from the part of the stamped scene not used and also fussy cut the splash and rings in the water. Glue fish to stream on the right side leaving room for the ducks.  Glue the splash as well then glue the ducks to the left side.  Pop up second duck.  Glue the foreground pieces to the bottom with some flowers and cattails.  Add snow pen to the splashes and puff up slightly with a heat gun, Let dry.

While scene is drying, make a shadow box.  Black cardstock cut 7 1/4 X 9”, score 1/4" and 1/2" on all 4 sides.  Use a rotary cutter to cut the center of the cardstock 1/2" from score line all the way around (opening measures 5 1/2 X 7”).  Cut off all 4 corners so that box can be folded and glued together. Fold the 1/4" and the 1/2" on all sides.  Glue 3 sides together but leave the 4th side open to slide scene in.  Before you slide it in, cut 2 pieces of foam sheet to  fit between where mountain ended and bottom of scene so that the bottom of the scene stays up to the level of the box frame.  Glue them in and then slide scene into box gluing bottom of box to bottom of scene base.  Glue box frame down to foreground then pop up the wolf over other wolf, pop up extra tree on the left side of box frame.

Die cut 4 corners from Swirly Accents Spray out of black, Die cut 2 Adorn It out of black then sponge different colors of mousse to “age” the corners and decorative die cuts.  Glue corners to box frame corners.  Glue decorative Adorn It die cuts to bottom of box both sides even.  Lay the card down onto a copper 8 1/2 X 11” cardstock and draw a line around both sides lightly. Use the Swirly Accents outer die to cut both sides of 2 pieces of cardstock (to make an openable card), Score the top of the top piece to make a tab to glue onto the bottom piece (both pieces have been die cut on the sides with the Swirly Accents Spray die), you will need to cut a little off the top of the back piece of cardstock to keep sides even. Cut off the bottom of both pieces as needed to match box bottom then glue scene “with wings” to the folded card.

Cut the sentiment from decorative paper, cut fish tail ends and curl then glue it to the bottom of box frame.  Glitter the flowers, water and splashes.  Add some glaze to the fish.

Thank you for visiting today!

Romans 8:38-39 New King James Version (NKJV)

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Matt. 12:31 “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
No one has too great a sin that he can not be forgiven.  Whatever you have done, you can be cleansed and you can be God's.  The weight of sin taken off you, think about it.  Your life could go from complete darkness to blessed light.  That is what happened to me.  God reached down and brought me out of a deep, dark, mucky pit and set me on His high hill!  He has so blessed my life ever since.
We still go through trials in life but He is right there with us helping us through.  Like a lifesaver when we feel like we are drowning.  When I think back to my life of self gratification I shiver at the thought of all I've done against God but He reminds me that He has forgiven every sin and remembers them no more!  I am His!

Psalm 119:105 New King James Version (NKJV)

105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path".
I was thinking about this verse today.  God's word is a lamp to my feet. It doesn't literally mean that it lights the path I'm walking on, it means it is instruction to my heart, soul, mind and spirit.  The more I know God's word the better my moral compass, my internal register of right and wrong.  His word keeps me walking on a path that is pleasing to Him.  That is my desire, my goal always to please God.  The only way that can happen is to know what He says so the more I hear and read His word the more I know Him, the more I trust Him with my life, my everything, the more I want to hear "Well done good and faithful servvant" at the end of my life.
