This sunflower by Penny Black is so pretty and the colors make it looks so sunny and happy!! The little bees are from Stampin' Up! and the words are from Stampourri. The dies used are from Spellbinder and Cheery Lynn. I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
The little bees have glitter glue on their wings.
Copic Markers were used to color image.
I did this card for the Tea Pot Tuesday challenge on SCS.

SCS color challenge
I'm honored to be a guest designer for the month of August with the color challenge team from SplitCoastStampers. These are the colors for this week. The stamp is from Stampendous, the dies are from Cheery Lynn Designs, Spellbinders and Memory box. I used Copics to color and added fun flock (Stampendous) to the babies breath. I also used an embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The designer paper is from SEI.

safe harbor/ and other blown ink cards
This is a card done for a challenge at SCS. It was to blow ink on the paper. I did this one with alcohol inks on glossy paper. The ink did not move as far but I liked the results. Kinda sunset looking.
I have a stamp from Hero Arts the I used upside down for this card because it reminds me of sailboats in a harbor silhouetted at sunset. See what you think!

Extra Trading Cards laying around?
What to do with extra trading cards!! Well, use them in a card layout. Here are four of mine from the last stamp escape here at Bass Lake (we do every year at the end of April/1st of May...Look at the Web site for The Cat's Meow Stamps.Com)
Poinsettias
This card is done all red and white! The window is a polished stone technique (alcohol and inks on a cotton ball). and the window is a die cut from Memory Box. The Poinsettias are dies from Spellbinder, formed and stacked. The white branch is a Martha Stewart punch and the white scroll/leaves are from Cheery Lynn.
Cherry blossom die
This card starts with inking the embossing folder with pale pink. Then die cutting this beautiful cherry blossom branches and flowers. The large sheer ribbon adds a touch of elegance!

Floral
New floral for a SCS challenge. The stamp is from Flourishes. So pretty! love nice big florals like this, they are so fun to color. The oriental poppies have three colors in them but it is impossible to see in this photo unfortunately. Used Copic Markers to color these beauties.

I am going a little nuts right now! I'm working on some stuff that I can not share until a certain date and it is bugging me to nutsdom not sharing with you!
I'm going to post something I did awhile back in the mean time, K?
Ok, well this goes waaaay back!
I was experimenting with bleach on tan card stock (background). Then I used bleach on black card stock (front panel). I used a variety of eclectic stamps for the background and a Stampington & Co. stamp on the front bleached out black. Also experimenting with heavy embossing powder on a piece of disc then stamped into it for the embellishment. Well, that was fun! It's old but I still like it! It was obviously before all the cool dies that are out now.

Welcome to the Lake
Well, it's that time of year again! Everyone comes up here for the beauty all around us especially Bass Lake and Yosemite National Park!! This is when Oakhurst/Mountain Community goes from the normal 10,000 people to ten times that on an average day throughout the summer.
So, Welcome to the Lake everyone and drive carefully out there. We mountain people are crazy drivers! LOL!!
This is a Cheery Lynn Design die. I cut it out of watercolor paper and used Twinkling H20s on it. The background is glossy paper that I used a brayer on with Desert Heat ink pad (Kaleidacolor). BoBunny teal double dot paper.

Window dies
Just posting something while I work on my next project. This is a card I made for a class in December. We did 3 window cards, all different windows. One had a window box with flowers and the other was a stained glass window (using alcohol Inks on glossy card stock) with a beautiful charcoal "lead" lines on top (part of the die). This card uses a Martha Stewart punch for the leaves, and Spellbinder dies for the Poinsettia. The window dies are from Poppystamps, it is the French door set.

Hero Arts
Melissa and I had a great time at the Hero Arts factory! We got a tour of the factory and had classes all day!!
What a day, it was really fun but the traffic on the way home!?!!... OMGosh! Thankfully Melissa was driving because it would have caused me heart failure I think! My hat is off to you who have to drive in that every day for work!
We did take a break from driving to visit Ikea. I have never seen one before, now I just want to gut my house and start over with all their wonderful storage!!
Oh and of course, we stopped in Tracy for In-n-Out burgers!! Yummy!! We don't have those in Oakhurst. We waved at Angelica Turner from Heartfelt as we left Tracy!

A couple of Asian cards done awhile ago, both for a card sketch challenge. I actually have 2 large drawers full of Asian stamps because I just really love the look. My mother loved Asian art and had it on her living-room walls when I was growing up so maybe that's why I like it?? Who knows! I have often made Asian type Trading Cards for the Great Yosemite Stamp Escape and once I decorated a lunch box Asian (Published in the Stamper's Sampler O/N 2006), and sewed together some french-fry bags to make an Asian book with tags for the pockets...(also published by Stampington & Co. A/M 2006)

Stampendous flowers.
Saturday, May 11, 2013
This is another Stampbord card. I stamped the Stampbord with Staz-On then used Adirondack Inks and sponges to color. I used a brush and inks to color the shell and flowers, then used the Ampersand Stampbord tools to add detail. I glued silver braid around the edges (the board is about 3/8" thick). Because the board is heavier than card stock, I use thick glue to adhere it to the card or it would eventually just fall off the front.
