Step Five: Die cut poinsettias from red cardstock, Use a dry brush to add highlights to leaves and flower petals, using gold paint.  Use a light touch to add just a bit of gold and make sure brush is dry,  form the petals on soft pad then glue together to make poinsettia flowers.  Glue gold centers in each flower.

Elizabeth Craft Designs- Christmas in Color

A different color that is! Hello crafting friends!

This is for those of you who like Christmas in non-traditional colors, I know there are a few of you out there!

I used a stamp with VersaMark ink on the background to add a bit of interest.
The decorative frame is cut from Silver Metallic cardstock.

There are 16 ornament pieces for a flat bottom ornament as shown.  I used 32 pieces to make a full ornament.  A lighter weight paper works best for this honeycomb technique.
I glued a bead at the bottom of the ornament.

Elizabeth Craft Designs-Creative Cut

Hello crafting friends!
Here is a fun card with a different kind of edge.

See it open, how pretty, right?
Cut front of card in half vertically. Cut decorative paper for inside card and outside card so that they match when card is closed.  Cut scallop square frame in quarters for the corners.
Glue a decorative round die to the inside of front so that half of the circle shows when card is closed.
Cut a smaller circle of decorative paper (bird shown here for this card). glue it to front of card and circle.  Glue white curved leaves to left side of front.
Make flowers and leaves then glue to left side of front/circle.

Inside of card, glue sentiment stamped on small doily.

Elizabeth Craft Designs-Beautiful Poinsettias

Hello crafty friends,
I love taking a die and stretching it! Well, not he die but the die-cut. This die has such pretty ends, why not, right?

Each poinsettia has 2 layers of petals glued off-set then filled with Gold Prills. The Pine Cones have
Snow Pen dabbed on the ends and then heat set to puff up a little.
The Festive Ornate Frames (gold and white) are glued together off-set then cut in half
and glued onto card to each end.  Cut a piece of decorative paper in a rectangle and then glue to center of card to cover cut die pieces and make one smooth layer. If necessary, cut corners of rectangle to make the transition smooth.
Now decorate with all your fun pieces, pine cones, leaves, boughs and flowers.
Add a sentiment if desired or add the sentiment inside.
