Hello crafting friends!
I decided to make this shabby chic rose card today. For some reason I forget about this style but it looks really feminine to me and sets a tone for romance in the air.
Hello crafting friends!
One of my favorite card styles is the slimline so today I'm sharing my first card using the new Bohemian Rose release. The colors in the new paper line so perfectly match the Oxide ink, Spun Sugar, so I sprayed the background paper with that distress Oxide Ink and inked the roses with the pad and brushes in the same color.
Hello Crafting friends!
Here is my sneak peek for next week's new release...don't you just love it?
Hello crafting friends,
Today I'm doing a step by step tutorial for this lovely Christmas card.
Step one: Make a 7 1/4”X 10 1/2” card base from white
cardstock folded in half to make 5 1/4” X 7 1/4” in card followed by a gold
layer 5 1/8” X 7 1/8” and finally another white layer 4 7/8” X 6 7/8” then die cut
3 layers of Festive Ornate Frame from white and 1 layer from gold.

slightly off-set.

Step Three: Glue the stack of Festive Ornate Frames to
card front.

Step Four: Stamp Merry Christmas using Red Ink (Barn Door
Oxide used here) onto one of the white center pieces cut away from the Ornate
Frames, then glue it inside of the Ornate Frame on card base, set the card aside
for now.

Step Five: Die cut poinsettias from red cardstock, Use
a dry brush to add highlights to leaves and flower petals, using gold
paint. Use a light touch to add just a
bit of gold and make sure brush is dry, form the petals on soft pad then glue together
to make poinsettia flowers. Glue gold
centers in each flower.

Step Six: Die cut leaves and boughs from 2 different green
color cardstocks and add some shading and highlights with oxide ink.

Step Seven: Die cut berries from red, stems from brown,
glue the red berries to the stems and add Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the berries,
when dry dot each berry with white paint from a white Pasca Pen.

Step Eight: Make a multi-loop bow from red ribbon

Step Nine: Arrange leaves and flowers in an arch at the top
of the Festive Ornate Frame then add the bow underneath the leaves in the
center of the arch.
