ODBD February Inspiration

Good morning!

ODBD stamps: Hugs and Kisses
ODBD paper:Cozy Quilt Paper
I've done this card for the weekly inspiration at ODBD.
I used the Majestic Medallion die to emboss the back panel by running it through  my Big Shot with the impression plate instead of the cutting plate. Using the Leafy Edged Border die I cut a piece of decorative paper from the Cozy Quilt collection, I cut the Deco Border X 3 and arranged then glued then on top of the embossed panel along with the Cozy Quit paper.  I then stitched the decorative paper with my sewing machine and attached the assembled panel to my folded card.  I cut the Tulip Heart from Cozy Quilt paper and cut the Layered Heart from ivory.  I heat embossed the sentiment with a peach embossing powder and VersaMark ink then glued it to the Tulip Heart.
To finish this card I added some pearls (colored with Copic Markers to match) to each corner and a sheer peach/apricot ribbon bow.
  Thank you for visiting today!

ODBDSLC283- Wedding Theme Inspiration Reminder

Good morning!
More inspiration for the Peach Wedding theme for this month's challenge.
Remember you have until Sunday March 5 to submit your card/project at the ODBD blog HERE.

ODBD stamps: Let Love Grow, Seeds Of Today
ODBD dies: Layering Hearts, Tulip Heart, Vintage Labels, Bitty Blossoms
ODBD Fun and Fancy Folds-Book Fold Card

All in peach and white.  I stated with a white Book Fold Card and cut pieces of dark peach to fit each panel.
Next I stamped a light peach piece of 8 1/2 X 11 card stock with VersaMark and the Seeds of Today flower stamp all over, cut it into pieces a bit smaller than my dark peach pieces and glued into place.
I stamped "Faith Hope and Love" with VersaMark on white and then embossed with peach embossing powder and heat gun. I also stamped the "And the greatest of these is Love" and embossed then cut them out using the Vintage Labels.
I die cut and sponged color then formed all my Bitty Blossoms and leaves and also cut out my Layering Hearts and Tulip Hearts then glued all into place.
I colored my pearls with Copic markers to match the paper and placed one in each flower, added some peach Liquid Pearls dots and some peach ribbon to finish.

1 Corinthians 13:4- 8a, 13
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.

Woodsy Gate Fold

Good morning!

One last Woodsy Collection card to share this morning.
I used the gate fold dies from Poppy Stamps and the Woodsy Wonderland stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creation to create this card.

View looking down.

View from straight on.
This card base is two dies from Poppy Stamps (Cottage Platform and Cottage side gates) Combined they make this wonderful little garden where you can add whatever you would like to see in your garden.  Today I have chosen the Woodsy Wonderland.
I started by stamping and die cutting the Woodsy Critters, Woodsy Wonderland and Woodsy Landscape, I cut a green "ground" for the garden and then colored all the stamped and die cut pieces, doing some Copic coloring and some sponging with Distress Inks.
I glued the trees to the back tore a narrow piece of green for grass and glued over tree bottoms and then popped up the deer.
I have rocks and grass and the sides (they are hard to see unless gates are opened more) and then I glued the large trees and flowers on the front.  Glued the birds and squirrel in the trees and popped up the bunnies.
I used Art Institute glue for most pieces and added more glue at the bottom to add "spring" Flower Soft to the bottom.

Heartfelt Creations Fold Out Woodsy Nature Scene

Good morning!
I have another Wonderful Woodsy scene using heartfelt Creations stamps and dies from the Woodsy Collection.

I will be doing this one in a class at the Cat's Meow on Saturday, February 25th.

I only had the kraft fold out cards so I covered each panel with white paper using the Fleur Border Basics to cut the tops to match the fold out panels. I then used the same die set with the decorative edge to cut the green borders.
I sponged Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress inks on each panel except the back Decorative paper panel.
I only added a sentiment from Penny Black to the back and a few Liquid Pearls pearl color dots in the top floral spray.
I stamped, die cut and colored all pieces from the Woodsy Critters, Woodsy Wonderland and Woodsy Treescape sets then started playing with arrangement.
Before attaching pieces, I sponged Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress inks to the bottom of each panel.
I only decorated the inside panels (except the front) with die cuts.  The other outside panel that shows was covered with another piece of the Woodsy Wonderland paper.  I would have used the papers for all my panels except it would have made the class more expensive, but if I were doing this just for myself I would have covered each surface with the Woodsy Wonderland paper.
For a final touch, I added Stickles to the flowers.

ODBD February Reminder

Good morning!

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs February Release, here is the card I created using Happy Valentine's Day, Layering Hearts, Keys and Blushing Rose Paper . For more inspiration using the February Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

This is a bit shabby chic as in the lace on the burlap and wonderful
rustic wood design paper with beautiful roses.
I decided on this design for my Happy Valentine's card
just to show something different.
Of course, just about any other sentiment would work just as well.

The happy Valentine's Day was embossed with Tea Dye distress embossing powder, the hearts and key are die cut using copper shimmer and ivory shimmer card stock.
I fussy cut around the roses and pink lace and then added the burlap and ivory lace under the paper pink lace. I then glued it to the rustic wood plank paper where I had embossed the sentiment. I added my hearts, key and bow-finished!
This was a super simple card to make!!

Blue Knight Rubber Stamps - Happy Birthday!

Good morning!

Love these beach stamps.
I used masking, stamp position-er and sponging plus Copic Markers.
The boat, castle, chair, bucket, kite and ball were stamped first after deciding where my horizon was going to be.  Masked all and stamped the Beach Scene.
Kept the mask on and masked off a setting sun (or rising depending on what coast you live on).  I sponged the sky the removed all mask and colored the rest with Copic Markers.
I used a Spellbinder die set for the framing and finished off with some real shells and starfish and a Mini Greeting die cut with a Cheery Lynn die, (with added brads).

ODBDSLC283- Wedding in Peach

Good morning!
Today we start a new challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs!!
It's a peach wedding theme challenge.  Below you will see the photo we are using for inspiration this month.

I've made a wedding set, card and Gable Box.

ODBD dies: Glorious Gable Box, Heavenly hearts, Layering hearts, Bitty Blossoms, Butterfly & Bugs, Lavish Layers, Pierced Rectangles, Layered Lacey Ovals, Ornate Ovals

Here is our inspiration photo
Please visit my design team sisters for more inspiration

I actually started with my box using a heavy weight shimmer card stock for construction. Because it is for a wedding I wanted it to look like the wedding cake that I saw in the photo. I made some tiny flowers from the Bitty Blossoms die set and tried to make them look like they were placed in a curve up the "cake". I used pearls and a sheer white ribbon to dress it up as wedding also.  I found some scraps of a peach print paper to use under the heart to tie it all together. I embossed a Butterfly for the handle to bring the color up to the top.
I then made my card to match.

I used the shimmer card stock for the majority of the card but added white linen to bring out some parts as the whites photograph differently. The stitched rectangles add interest as well. I love the Lavish Layers frame in white linen.  It really sets off the hearts and sentiment.  Again I finished the card off white pearls and sheer white ribbon.
The sentiment comes from "The Great Love Chapter" in the Bible written below.

1 Corinthians 13 New King James Version (NKJV)

2b though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Thinking of you!!! Blue Knight Rubber Stamps

Good morning!

Wow, look at these beach elements from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps!!
This is when having a stamp position-er is really handy!
I stamped the beach scene onto a piece of acrylic (from the position-er) and then made a little mark where the horizon was going to be and the sand line.  I then stamped the boat, sand castle, bucket and chairs and masked all.
I stamped over everything with the beach scene (placing it where I wanted with the acrylic and the position-er).  I stamped the umbrella separately so that I could pop it up.
I Cut a round mask and masked off the sun and then masked off the water and sponged my sky.  Everything else was colored with Copic Markers.
The framing was cut with stitched dies from ODBD.
