DRS CHALLENGE #133-USING RUBBER BANDS ON A BACKGROUND

DRS stamps used:  Mini Marshmallow 493A,  Cocoa and Marshmallow greeting 231H, Cocoa and Marshmallows 223H
Aren't these marshmallows cute!!!Depending on the color, they would make great Girl Scout/Boy Scout cards! Anyone who takes kids out camping knows that they love Hot Chocolate and especially MARSHMALLOWS!!!
So, to my card...I used two rubber bands on a brayer to make this pink background.  I used White Unicorn opaque pigment ink on my brayer, (The challenge this week is to use rubber bands in some way). Then, I wrapped the sheer ribbon around the top and sewed the edges of the pink, zigzag style, catching the ribbon as well.  For this card, I decided to make an easel card because the sentiment I wanted to use (poem about marshmallows) is large.  The cup and marshmallows are popped up on the card front and of course the sentiment is popped up so the the front will catch on it and stand up!  The bow on the front is glue dotted on.
I used Copic Markers to color.

ODBDSLC210- Sponging or Stencils week 2

Hello everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and Monday was blessed.
For today's card, I stamped the fishnet in white on white and embossed with white powder and heat gun.  I sponged orange and yellow on then set it aside while I worked on the main image.  I used the Anchor set on white then used a nesting circle die.  I used the same die plus one smaller on brown to make my "porthole" which is popped up.  I then added brass looking nailhead 3-D stickers (Mark Richards).  The sky was sponged but the foreground anchor etc was colored with Copic Markers.
My husband is a Royal Ranger leader (like Boy Scouts through our church) and has a book of knots he uses so I used that to make a couple of nautical knots in the cords.
My sentiment came from the All Occasion Sentiment set, I just trimmed it then cut chevrons on both sides then sponged some yellow and orange on.
The fishnet panel is also popped up.

"This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast..."  Heb. 6:19
"My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness...When darkness hides His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace; In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil. On Christ, the solid rock, I stand all other ground is sinking sand.  His oath, His covenant, and blood support me in the whelming flood; when every earthly prop gives way He then is all my hope and stay"  This hymn goes so well and is, I believe, based on Hebrews 6.  I hope you like it!

I stamped the Vertical trees on basic white then trimmed and lined with silver leaf pen.  I punched snowflakes and layered them then added a dot of glitter to the top.

Power Poppy floral

Love this stamp set!!! Dies are from Spellbinders.  I used gold leaf pen to line the die cuts. The embossing folder is also from Spellbinders.
I used Copic Markers to color.

Stampin' Up! Florals

This is from 5 different stamps in one Stampin' Up! set.  I masked and stamped until I had the combo I wanted.  I added a few stems to the little yellow flowers.  The background is sponged to look like clouds in a blue sky. The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart butterfly trio punch.

This is one stamp (the flowers). It is a huge corner stamp by Stampin' Up! The words are a separate stamp.  I did not add color to the background on this one.

ODBDSLC210-Sponging or Stencils

I stamped by fishing boat scene on a Stampbord (scratchboard type material) I punched a large circle out of a post-it note and sponged yellow on for a setting sun then reversed the mask and sponged on the sky and water reflections. I did a small amount of detail scratching on the boat and more on the wake of the boat, birds, rocks and trees in the background.  I used the Vintage Flourish Pattern die in yellow then the Vintage Label in the center so that my boat scene would show.  I did the Vintage label again in blue.  My Stampbord is matted between the card base and the flourish frame.  It is about 1/8" thick so it acts like foam tape.  I stamped the Hymn on white and then used the pennant dies to cut out my pennants.  I sponged them as well.  The pennant die was used for the Serenity stamp as well.  The pennants are strung on turquoise bakers twine.
