ODBDSLC212 Sketch

ODBD stamps used: Apples
ODBD Paper used: Blushing Rose Collection
ODBD dies used: Pennants
I recently bought this stamp image of the apples and have been wanting to color them, so today's sketch was perfect for it!  I used Copic Markers to color the image.  The paper I used for most of the other elements on this sketch card are from Blushing Rose collection which is so lovely.  It has some inked looking edges so I inked all of my edges to match.  I used the pennant die set to create my little banners under the apple barrel, using 4 different papers from the set.  The ribbon is seam binding that I dyed.  On the white panel I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then used Liquid Pearls to make my own little "pearls" on each crossing.  The color was perfect and I think it is actually called rose as well.
Here is the sketch for the next two weeks of challenge.

The verse on my card reminds me of the great love our heavenly Father has for us!!
He loves us with a never ending love...whenever I feel down or anxious I like to read the Psalms because it reassures me of God's love for me!!  It also reminds me that we are only human and we, even the best of us, get discouraged from time to time or we blow it and have to seek forgiveness.  The best part about being a Christian isn't that we are perfect, it is that we are assured forgiveness when we are not, if we will just confess it to Him (He already knows anyway!!) and turn from our selfish ways. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God...But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us...the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord...If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 3:23. 5:8, 6:23 and 10:9-10  Jesus was quick to forgive sin but He always said, "Go and sin no more" isn't that we can be perfect after meeting Christ, it is a matter of not practicing evil other words, don't keep doing what you know God has told you is wrong in His word or with the still small voice of the Holy Spirit.  When you come to Christ you turn 180 degrees, from darkness to His light!  Keep walking in the light my friends!
Thanks for coming and visiting with me.
