Anniversary Reminder Post

Good morning!

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs Anniversary Release, here is the card I created using Large Numbers, Celebration, Balloons and Streamers, Ovals and Christian Faith Paper Collection. For more inspiration using the Anniversary Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.
I love these colors and just love blue and silver together.
These numbers are fantastic for special birthdays, Anniversaries, and of course, "Class of" cards.

Every year we know kids graduating from our local high school and these are the colors, light blue/dark blue and white (I used some silver to highlight).
When I die cut the numbers I embossed and stenciled some silver on them too.
The balloons, streamers and oval are cut out of a textured silver metallic paper.
I stamped and embossed the oval with a sentiment from "Celebration", using a Royal Blue foil embossing powder.
The only other embellishments are 3 silver half balls at the lower left side.

ODBD Inspiration Post

Good morning!

Don't you just love pink and yellow together?
Recently I bought some tulips from the store and I bought them because they were a blend of pink and yellow, yup, that's right.
I beautiful bouquet of pink and yellow tulips!
They are sitting on my dining table right now!!
Now, for my card...

I stamped the tulips all over and embossed with white embossing powder and then I sponged pink and yellow ink to cover the entire panel.  The white embossing acts like a resist to create my background.  I  wanted a soft look so I covered my background with a piece of vellum.  It has glue under areas where it won't show.
I stamped and die cut my tulip focal on white and colored with Copics.
I used the Ornate Ovals die set to mat the tulips using foam tape between layers.
The mini Bow die was used to add a bow for my tulip bouquet.
I stamped the sentiment with pink and die cut it with the Pierced Rectangles then tucked it under the top of the Ornate Oval.
Pearls were added to embellish.

I stamped and die cut my tulips out of white and colored with Copic Markers to match.  I stamped the image with similar colors so that it would be a "no-line" look when finished.

9th Anniversary Release Blog Hop

Good morning!
We are celebrating Our Daily Bread Design's 9th Anniversary!!

My first card is for this celebration!!
Amethyst is the alternative color for the 9th Anniversary and since I LOVE purple, especially the Amethyst stone (the first ring my husband gave me as a promise ring), I decided to use it for my color.
I used the new Large numbers and the Celebration Clear stamp set.

I die cut the 9 in white and purple then layered them. I did the same with the "th"
I die cute the border in purple and used the edge portion of the die to cut the decorative paper.  I stamped the sentiments on white and die cut them.

My next card celebrates a Golden Anniversary celebration.
Some of my sweet friends have had these celebrations in the last couple of years.

I used a new gold paper I got that has a bit of texture to it to die cut the 50 and did a second set in white.  The sentiments are done in Gold sparkle embossing powder.  I made white flowers and gold micro beads for the centers.
The hearts are die cut with the same textured gold paper as my 50.
For a finishing touch I've added sheer white ribbon with gold trim and white pearls.

ODBD March Release Reminder

Good morning!

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs March Release, here is the card/project I created using Daffodils, Daffodil die, Pierced Rectangles, pierced Ovals, Plum Pizzazz, and Lavish Layers .  For more inspiration using the March Release be sure to visit the ODBD Blog.

I did another "no line" stamping and coloring for the daffodils this morning by stamping with yellow ink and green ink and then coloring with Copic Markers.
You can also do this on water color paper by stamping with very light color/colors and water color your project, the results are beautiful.
I used the pretty plaid paper from Plum Pizzazz paper pack and the lovely Lavish Layers to frame.  After die cutting my daffodils I glued them to a Pierced Oval.  My sentiment is also stamped on a Pierced Oval.  The purple layer is cut with the Pierced Rectangles which is a perfect size to show just about an 1/8" of card base all the way around.
For final details I added pearls to the corners and a sheer bow to my stems.

Fruitful Growth in the Faith

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heartfelt Creations

I am so happy to be one of the semi-finalist for the Heartfelt 2017 design team.
Here are my projects that got me to this point, I hope you will vote for me, just click the link HERE.

Special Day
Cut the heart out of blue paper from Birds and Blooms, use the cut out to trace another larger heart on white linen using the Magic Matter tool and then fussy cut to make a frame for the heart.
Die cut the Decorative Oval and place under cut out heart and glue into place cutting off excess.
Cut a piece of white Fun Foam and then cut with the heart die and stack under heart cut out, glue in place, let dry thoroughly.
Cut a piece of pink paper from the Birds and Blooms paper and adhere under all layers then glue to a card base of white linen folded (4 ½ X 6 ½”).  Die cut the Delicate Border from white linen twice (top and bottom) and glue in place.
Stamp, die cut and sponge color onto the Classic Leaf, Birds, and Flowers then form all on a foam pad with flower forming tools.  Glue flowers together and add Prills in the centers and glitter to the petals.
Glue stems and flower to card front and foam tape little birds, then add ribbon bow and ribbon pieces in the floral spray with glue and glue dots.
Fussy cut a sentiment tag from the Birds and Blooms paper and curl as a wave then glue in place, placing foam tape under the raised portion.
Final additions: Pearl halves on the cross sections of the Decorative oval, clear Wink of Stella on the leaves and birds.

Fish and Hibiscus

Cut scallop oval from a piece of 4 ½ X 6” chipboard (I used the back chipboard of a water color pad) that has been covered with paper.
Cut same oval out of two pieces of 4 1/1 X 6” Fun Foam and glue together to the back of the chipboard. When dry completely, sponged purple on inside of oval covering chipboard edges, cover outside of chipboard with purple Washi tape.
Stamp, die cut and color fish, flowers, coral, leaves and shells.  I used Copic markers for all but the flowers and leaves, (they were sponged with two Distress colors each).
Form flowers with flower tools and mat then glue together and add Prills and glitter.
Add fiber with glue and glue a piece of the avocado bag to the side of the blue decorative base panel,  then glue the oval cut out top panel (purple decorative paper) to the base.  Add fish (glue the orange fish to the base and foam tape the green/blue fish to the base under the orange fish).
Glue this stacked card to a folded white linen card stock card measuring 4 ½ X 6”.
I then began adding the coral to the sides and bottom, cutting away the extra length on the bottom portion of coral, add in some extra shells where needed.  The Oyster shell with pearl is popped up.
Add in flowers at the top and stuff pieces of gauze in between flowers and leaves for extra texture.
When everything was thoroughly dry, I went back and added Wink of Stella, Stickles, Nuvo-clear (for bubbles), Glossy Accents and pearls to my project.

A Prayer Away

Die cut borders and oval out of white linen card stock-using a grid board, line up borders on oval so that tops and sides and even and straight then add glue to oval only on inside edges of border so that the excess oval and lining can be cut away.
Dry emboss a white linen panel measuring 4 7/8 X 6 with embossing folder and glue to a folded white linen card, 6 3/16 X 5 1/16 then foam tape oval/border combo to the top.
Stamp, die cut, color (on the back side of vellum) and form Asters in double layers, making the second layer a bit smaller on each except the small aster which are two layers of the same size.
Form/scrunch stamen to stand up and add glue to the ends and then add Prills, Glue Dot stamen to each flower center.
Place flowers and leaves on oval die cut and glue in place.  Add crinkled bow with long tails at the left top, arrange tails using extra Glue Dots where needed.   Add extra seam binding between flowers as desired.
Finish top of oval with pearls and add larger pearls to each corner of the card.
Stamp, emboss and die cut sentiment on vellum and glue or tie to top right of oval.

ODBD March New Release Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Our Daily Bread March Release Blog Hop!

I have two new flower cards for you today using the new Daffodil stamp set and the Daffodil die, then second, the new Tulip stamp set and Tulip die...aren't they cute!
Here where I live, every February the daffodils start coming up and then late February or early March we get snow and freezing temperatures.
Well, this year was no exception and this week has been in the 20's.
Good news though, somehow the daffodils still manage to live through it all and bloom in middle to late March.
Tulips are later.

Beside the Daffodil sets I also used the new Circle Scalloped Rectangle die, the new Step card die, the Bitty Butterflies, Faith, Hope and Love die, Celebrate & Wish die, Pierced Rectangles and Plum Pizzazz paper pack.
I stamped the flowers with London Fog Momento Ink and colored with Copic Markers then die cut. Die cut the Circle Scalloped Rectangle, the Side Step Card and paper to fit each panel then stamp sentiment and die cut with the Pierced Rectangles. I then die cut the Hope, Celebrate and Bitty Butterfly and assembled all pieces finishing with pearls and a sheer bow.

My second card features the Tulips and Tulip die.

I stamped the Tulips with London Fog, colored and die cut.
Used the Circle Scalloped Rectangle to die cut the framing mat and cut the red with Pierced Rectangles.
I stamped the sentiment and die cut it with the Ornate Ovals and finished with a sheer red bow.
The only tulips I have in my yard are grown in a planter and hidden from the deer...shhh, don't tell because they will eat them if they find them!

I hope you will hop along with us!
