Instructions: Card size: 4 3/4 X 6 3/4".  See video above (5 X 7 Decorative Dies) for making a shaped card.  Make the card with heavy white cardstock.  Cut another front of white and of light purple decorative paper then glue both to card front.  Cut the decorative pieces of the Elaborate Ovals die out of silver. Use foam to pop up the first large silver die onto card front.  Cut the pretty oval’ish tag from Album Tags out of white and the inner one out of purple, cut out of foam sheet as well to pop up.  Glue the foam under the tags then glue to center of card.  Glue the smaller silver decorative oval to the tags. Stamp the sentiment with Deep Purple onto light purple decorative paper, die cut with small oval and die cut a mat with a slightly larger oval out of white.  Glue the ovals with sentiment to silver decorative oval in the center of card. Stamp the bottom half of the small daffodil using Deep Purple 2 times (including butterflies), sponge with same inside and out, die cut and form so that it forms a cup with stamped side out to make a crocus.  Use the Petunia small to make a sepal for flower base.  Stamp the leaves from the Urn stamp set using London Fog and color with Copics in greens for crocus.  Glue them all together and add (die orange) stamen.  Glue 2 butterflies together folding the wings up of the top butterfly.  Add an orange rhinestone for the head. Stamp 2 Hyacinth (small) using London Fog and then color leaves and sponge Hyacinth. Stamp about 15  for each Hyacinth, of the small flowers to be glued onto the Hyacinth using Deep Purple.  Sponge both sides with a combo of Deep Purple and of Majestic Violet.  Mold in the shaping mold.  Use a hot glue gun to attach small flowers to each Hyacinth.  Add green Prills to the center of each small flower. Glue the Hyacinth at the bottom of card so that leaves are even with the bottom point of card base (this helps it to stand straight when on display, I also added a square piece of white cardstock under leaves to help with that).  On top of the Hyacinth at the center bottom, glue the crocus with leaves making sure to keep everything one level at the bottom.  Glitter the flowers and glitter the card base randomly as well using a sponge with glue.  See Emma Lou’s videos (any of the latest flower making videos for this method of glittering). Daffodil Tutorial

 Good morning!  

This is a step by step tutorial for making a daffodil easel card.  This tutorial can also be seen at Heartfelt Creations Blog site Saturday March 13, 2021 as well, just click on the blog tab.

Step by step instructions

 Step 1: Cut a piece of heavy weight water cardstock to 6” X 12”, fold in half to make a 6 X 6” card.  Place the outer die of Decorative Circle Frames on the cardstock so that top of die hangs over the folded edge to avoid cutting fold.

 Step 2: Use a score board to make a score line at 3” past middle score (9” mark).  Fold top 3” down.

Step 3 Cut another piece of white cardstock (for the front) and 2 pieces of decorative paper (front and inside) using the outer die then cut 2 decorative die from Decorative Circle Frames out of white, 1 for the front and 1 inside.  Glue the white front to the easel matching bottom edges of 3” fold down (this creates the easel action).  Cover front and inside with decorative paper then decorative white dies.

Step 4 Cut 2 Scallop lavender paper circles then 2 Ornate Oval Frames (smaller decorative oval) from white and 2 inner ovals from lavender.  (all the lavender came from 1 piece of decorative paper). Glue to card front and inside in order above.  Pop up decorative oval if desired.

Step 5 Stamp Daffodils using Cantaloup Memento then sponge with Buttercup Archival, die cut, sponge the backs and use the shaping mold to form. Before making the daffodil cups, use a Golf Groove Tool to curl edges outward, then form cups and glue together.

Step 6 For the daffodil that stands straight up on card, use 2 bottoms together to form 6 bottom petals.  For the other 2 daffodils use only 1 bottom so that the daffodils lay on their sides easier.  Insert Stamen.

Step 7 Stamp the filler using New Sprout or other very light green, die cut then sponge edges again.  Cut these apart to use as needed when finishing the arrangement.

Step 8 Decorate front using pearls and flowers made (use pearls on the inside too).  Save 1 flower for the inside, this will be used as a “stop” for the easel.

Step 9 Stamp Just for You and You are So thoughtful on white using Cantaloup then die cut with curve top tag die in the Album Tags and Accents Die set.  Tie yellow bows and attach tags and bows to the card front and inside.

Step 10 See photo above Use a large pearl inside to mark your spot for the easel stop then glue last daffodil to the inside so that petals rest at card front.  Cut petals as needed to get the look you like best.  Add some filler and make sure you can still see the sentiment.

we already had the 3-D daffodils for this month!

White Cardstock, green cardstock, Alcohol Inks-Yellow, green, orange and pink, jelly jar, iridescent Easter basket filler, embossing Ink Pad For more tips on creating with the flower shaping molds, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/FSdPL7nXvQE Jar is 2 X 2 ½”, Project 6 ½” tall.  Stamp enough small daffodils (both parts) for 3 flowers using yellow. Sponge backs and edges with yellow.  Run flowers through the shaping mold.  Glue 2 bottom pieces together for each flower.  Glue half circle top part of daffodil together at ends and fold bottom tabs up.  Glue the top “cup” onto the bottom base.  Stamp enough small daffodil (bottom only) using purple to make 3 “crocus”, sponge with purple on both sides and on edges.  Glue 2 bottoms together for each flower make a small bowl stamp side out.   Stamp Hydrangea using embossing fluid pad and emboss with white on white.  Make 7 flowers with 2 layers each.  For the small white flowers use 1 white beaded stamen in each.  For the daffodil use the yellow pollen stamen and for the purple crocus use orange pollen and orange medium pearl stamen (dye the pearl stamen with orange alcohol ink). Make long Daffodil leaves with green cardstock, hand cut about 5 leaves and curl ends.  Color jar with alcohol inks.  Fill with Iridescent filler then fill with flowers and leaves (glue in place with hot glue).   Glitter flowers.  My second card uses the new Gateway Fold cards with this month's release AND last month's.

Glue the yellow panels on then the decorative white panels.  Cut 1 small bottom and 1 small daffodil top using Buttercup ink to make one flattened small Daffodil.  Cut 2 large bottoms and 2 large daffodil tops using Buttercup to make 1 large flattened daffodilish type flower.  Stamp 2 small Zinnia using green for flower bases.  Use several yellow beaded stamen for each flower (leave wires to make stems). Wrap “stems” with floral tape. Stamp the little butterflies  using purple and sponge with purple, die cut.  Stamp 2 arched and 2 straight Daffodil Sprays using black memento (if using Copic Markers).  Stamp 1 large daffodil from Delightful Daffodils & Hyacinth. Die cut all and color.  Stamp the swan and Sentiment using London Fog (or black) die cut and color.  On the first panel (showing when closed) add a bit of blue decorative paper to the bottom of the inside arched gateway (for a lake).  Glue and pop up swan on lake, add Calla Lilies on both side.  Add 1 arched daffodil sprays to the bottom but before gluing the left side slide stems in under left side then glue.  Glue a double butterfly at the top right. Glue the sentiment to the middle of panel 2 then glue an arched spray to the top and a straight spray at the bottom. Glue the large daffodil to the bottom of the 3rd panel and the last straight spray over the stem at the very bottom.  Glue the butterfly to the top left side.  Glitter the flowers with Crystal Clear and randomly glitter the card panels with Ultrafine. Stamp 2 upper Daffodil Sprays using black, die cut and color with preferred method (Copics used here). Glue to the top and bottom of oval openings over oval frame.  Stamp the butterfly 2 times, die cut and color.  Die cut decorative butterfly die out of vellum.  Cut the head off the bottom layer, cut the outer edges of the wings off the top butterfly layer.  Glue the 2 layers together at the body center only.  Use 2 layers of foam tape between the 2 layers at the base of the wings.  Glue the vellum layer onto butterfly at the center only.  Glue butterfly right wing to the card right center.  Left wing will be over oval opening so use foam under the wing to keep it level with the right wing. Stamp Cherry Blossoms on white and yellow cardstock using Buttercup, die cut and form in shaping mold.  Fill centers with light yellow Prills.  Glue the flowers around the oval as desired. Glitter card, flowers and butterfly.  Add an enamel blue dot to each corner. Add a yellow pearl to center, left meeting of sprays. Stamp sentiment using black, cut it with the Ticket and Tags long die then fish tail both ends.  Pop up to same level as top and glue at an angle to the oval opening.  Thanks for visiting today!
