ODBDSLC270-Sketch Mid month

Good morning!
Here is another card using this month's challenge sketch.
This time I changed it up a bit.
I've used the new release Many Thanks

I also used the new release Pastel Paper pack, and the tiny flower in new release Easter Eggs as well as some favorites Pretty Posies, Double Stitched Rectangles, Rectangles, Stitched Ovals, and Ovals.
I shortened the rectangles by cutting twice, moving the die in a couple inches but making sure the stitch marks matched. For the flowers, I used the smallest Posy die and then sponged lavender ink on the ends, then I used the little flower that comes with the Easter eggs set, formed the flowers and added white Prills to the centers.  The embossing powder I used for my sentiment is a lavender confetti.

New, starting this month:
Participants can use ODBD stamps, North Coast Creations, and Artistic Outpost to  be spotlighted for the Shining the Light challenge and you can enter multiple cards during the month.

A song that is always going through my head these days is "Be Thou My Vision".  It is an old Irish hymn and it goes like this:
1) "Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart; naught be all else to me, save that Thou art-
Thou my best thought, by day or by night; waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
2) Be Thou my wisdom, O Thou my true word; I ever with thee and Thou with me, Lord.
Thou my great Father; Thine own may I be, Thou in me dwelling and I one with Thee.
3) Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise; Thou mine inheritance, now and always;
Thou and Thou only first in my heart, high King of heaven, my treasure Thou art.
4) High King of heaven, my victory won, may I reach heaven's joys, O bright heaven's sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, still be my vision, O Ruler of all."
I love this song and the music that goes with it just sets my heart a flame with love and devotion for my God!  It reminds me to keep my focus upon the face of Jesus, where He makes me to even walk on waters and everything becomes still around me.  All the troubles of this world fade away when I am in His presence and looking to Him for my all.
"Be still and KNOW that I am God!" Psalm 46:10
Thank you for visiting today!!

Oh, Robin, what a gorgeous card, and I love your dimensional flowers you've made! I love the DP and your color scheme and that gorgeous ribbon! And, yes, that's a wonderful favorite song of mine, and have you ever heard Kristyn Getty sing it? She and her DH Keith are Irish, and they are amazing! I so love their music. You must get some of it. One of my all-time favorites of theirs is "In Christ Alone." Here's a link to it, and you will love their music (it's Irish), and they now live here in Nashville (where so many Christian artists live). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLy8ksqGf9w. Hugs, sweet friend!

What a stunning card, Robin!! I love the lavender, your take on the sketch, and the flowers you created. So many gorgeous details!! The dp is perfect!! Gorgeous card as always!!

I love that song, Be Thou My Vision!! What a wonderful reminder!! God is in control of our lives and we need to rely upon Him. I know you have been going through a rough time. I am praying for you!!!! Through our current circumstances, God is teaching us the hard lessons of relying upon Him and being still. That verse is displayed in several places in our home but we have a huge one in my entry where I can see from my seat on the couch. God is good not only when life is easy but especially during the tough times. Thank God for friends and family that help us through and remind us of His Grace!

hugs,
Chris
