Heartfelt Poinsettia Christmas

Good morning!

This morning I've used the Sparkling Poinsettia Collection in combination with the Festive Holly Collection for this easel card.

The easel was made using the Holly Frame die from Spellbinders.

I also used that beautiful Crystal Clear glitter by Rajni Chawla on the poinsettias,

don't cha just love it!

Every Christmas we love to decorate our house with pretty candles, poinsettia, Sugar Pine Cones and a large Christmas tree full of pretty sparkly ornaments.  I love sparkles at Christmas, the more the better.

I used clear glass beads dyed with green Copic refill for the 

centers of the poinsettias.

I love how each paper collection has sentiments on decorative paper.

I love the way this card stands up to display sparkle inside and out!

Instructions: Other products: Glass beads, Half pearls, ribbon, 3-M foam tape, Spellbinder 5 X 7 Holly Frame die, White card stock, pale gold card stock, Copic Markers: YG61,YG63, G21, Y21,Y32,YR24, E50, E51, E21, Y15, Y35, Y38

Instructions: Card size is 5 X 7.  Start by folding a piece of 8 1/2 X 11 white card stock in half and then place the Holly Frame on the fold so that it hangs over about 1/4".  The part that hangs over the fold will keep both pieces together as one piece.  Fold the top half of the card in half and score well, fold in toward the card.  Cut another white Holly Frame and glue the bottom half of it to the half (of the card base) which is folded down. This forms the hinged easel part of the easel card. Cut a piece of designer paper (I used the pale gold side of one piece) to 5 1/5 X 3 1/2 and use it as a base to decorate.  Stamp, die cut and sponge color on several Sparkling Poinsettia pieces, Holly and berries from Festive Holly and Cardinals and the Sparkling Poinsettia Candle (I colored my candle with Copics), and die cut the Decorative Medallion from white linen, the Decorative Medallion base from pale gold card stock.  Form Poinsettia flowers and glue layers together, staggering petals.  Make one large and one small.  Fill centers with glass beads (I actually dyed my clear beads using a YG03 Copic refill). Use Dries Clear glue an Rajni's Crystal Clear glitter on petals of poinsettias, Holly and Berries, and Candle flame. Build the card face starting with the Decorative medallion pieces, the Candle next then the Holly and berries and finally the Poinsettia .  Finish the card by gluing the front to the card base top, tuck some sheer ribbon in among the Poinsettia and add pale gold pearls to the top corners.  Now start on the inside. Cut another piece of designer paper to match the top, 5 1/2 X 3 1/2, cut one of the wonderful Christmas verses from the decorative paper using a Square Nestabilities from Spellbinders and modify as needed (I moved the die up after the first cut and cut again taking more off the bottom). You will need to pop this "Square" up as it will be the "stop" for the easel.  Decorate with pieces of Holly and a Cardinal (I sponged color on using the point of the stacking daubers). Add 2 large pale gold pearls to the bottom and 4 small to the popped sentiment panel.
