Hello friends,
Today I'm sharing a Z-Fold poppy card.
Z-Fold
Fold a piece of white cardstock in half then use the 5 1/2" square die to cut card by laying the die,
on the fold side, just off the end so that the fold will not cut (the cutting edge should be parallel but not touching the fold).
Open card and score at 2 3/4" just on the left side. Cut out 5" square from gold 2 times, 3 1/2" square from gold 1 time, and 3 1/2" circle and 3" circle taped together (to make a frame) from gold 1 time. Cut greenish color pattern paper 2 times with 4 1/2" square and 1 time with 4" circle. Cut 2 doilies from white.
On inside of card, glue one 5" square, then the 4 1/2" greenish color paper making borders even. Glue the 3 12" circle frame in the center.
Cut the other 5" gold square in half then glue 1 half to the top and 1 half inside (see photo below). Do the same with the 4 1/2" greenish paper, 1 half on top and 1 half inside.
Use foam tape or Fun Foam to pop up the 3 1/2" gold square and adhere it to the left side only of Z top.
Glue 4" greenish circle to gold square then 1 of the doilies.
To decorate I stamped and die cut 2 butterflies coloring them orange and yellow and adding glitter to the wings. I die cut 6 poppy petals, 6 stamen and some leaves. Color them with inks then glue them together in sets of 2, off-setting petals. I glued some gauze onto the white doily then glued the flowers down, adding leaves. I then glued the butterflies down to the card.
I stamped the sentiment on white then trimmed it down to fit on a 7/8" X 2 1/8" gold panel I had cut out.
I then popped it up in the center of the inside white doily. (See photo for placement).
Thanks for visiting!
