ODBD October New Release Blog Hop

Good morning!
So glad you are hopping along with us to see the new October release.
Our Daily Bred Designs has some wonderful new Christmas stamps
and dies out this month....I'm in love!

My first card features the new Our Savior's Birth stamp set.
I stamped and colored my holy family and then did the "out of the box" cutting technique with the Pierced Circle die. Finished cutting out the pieces sticking out from my circle and placed foam tape under it then set aside.
I used the Pierced Rectangle to cut out the beautiful designer paper from the new Christmas collection (Don't you just love the purples and blues in the paper pack this year?) and cut my Ornate Ovals and Ornate Borders out of white linen. I used foam tape to pop up some of the layers.

My next card features the new Christmas Note done in traditional colors.
Just a note, I did add the plaid to my ribbon so you could leave it plain, do dots or stripes if you like.
I cut the Vintage Flourish Patter background from a plaid paper that I have and then backed it with green and added a thin red layer behind that before gluing to my card base.  For my image, I stamped, colored and die cut with the Vintage Flourish Pattern (inside dies) and then cut my red mat with the Vintage Labels.
My topper for the circle sentiment is some of the little pieces from the Christmas Candle die set.

Both cards are beautiful Love the plaid! Just looks so festive. When you die cut the background for the baby you choose the right one! It is delicate, detailed and just makes the crib pop! Love the corner details. TFS

Gorgeous coloring and design, Robin! Love the elegant framing on the nativity scene and the traditional colors and plaid on the ribbon to match the pattern die is full of warm, country charm! Always beautiful, my sweet friend! Hugs!

Great job on both cards! I love the vibrancy of the colors you used on the nativity -- the darker brown on the crib distinguishing it from the hay, the blue ribbon with the blue swaddling and cloth of Joseph's clothes, and the purple background with the purple of Mary's clothes. Your dies are spectacular and bring your attention to the parents and the baby Christ. The second card is so different but also lovely. The plaid paper cut out with that fancy die over the green paper is beautiful. And it really compliments the red in the other layers. The stitched dies show off very well. You even colored the ribbon around the post in plaid! Wow. Thanks for sharing your work.
