I made this card for and Inspiration challenge. It actually took two days to complete. Yesterday I gathered pine needles from the yard, boiled them (to get all the sap out without making them stiff) and then dried them by the woodstove overnight. Today I glued them to my cardstock circle opening, let it dry then filled in with more pine needles, let it fry and trimmed it off even with the cardstock. I sprayed it with gloss finish.
I used Copics to color the image by Flourishes then matted it with rust in a smaller circle than my pine needle mat. The pine needle mat is popped up and I wound twine around it at the bottom before mounting it to my folded card. This is the first time I've tried this but I have friends who make baskets out of pine needles so this was nothing compare to that.
Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of host, He is the King of glory. Ps. 24:8-10
