Spring Hinged Gate Fold

Time for Spring cards and I just love this fold.
I used I.O. dies, Our Daily Bread Designs dies, Memory Box dies and Martha Stewart border punches.  I also added Liquid Pearls to flower centers and tiny flowers in the grass, Copic color to shade the white house detail, and white paint pen to make the fawn spots.

The instructions
The outside edge of each 2 ¾ X 4 ¼” decorated panel will be flush with the outside edge of the card base but only glued to one half (the outside half) of the decorated panel.  It is actually better to put the glue on the 1 3/8” card base not the decorated panel to make sure it is only glued on that side.
After embossing and decorating your insert, go ahead and glue that piece in as well.
If you want to tuck something in to keep the gate close you will need to plan that out with your decorating.  Something should hang over the edge on, say the left side, then leave something that is popped up, open (loose) so that your over hanging piece can slip underneath the open part on the right side.
This is the basic instructions for the Hinged Gate Fold.   You can choose any decorating that pleases you.

Card base and pieces for decorating.

These are the decorated pieces before they were attached to the card base.

I hope you will try this fun card.  It is a lot of fun to decorate in any season or subject.
