ODBDSLC198 Pastel Easter Blessings

Today I'm happy to share my pastel Easter card for Shining the Light Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD).   This Sunday is Easter, we will celebrate the risen Christ!!!
Our challenge this week is "He is Risen" with pastels (a project or card displaying a cross, verse, or sentiment about the true meaning of Easter-not commercialized...no bunnies...).

I cut the larger cross twice, once in blue and once in yellow. I replaced the parts you would normally just throw away from the blue cross with yellow (I kept the yellow cross for another time).  The yellow sort of reminded me of a halo.  The flowers are from the Ornamental crosses set, I cut one from several pastel colors then formed them a little and filled them with yellow Flowersoft.  All the stamps and dies I used are as follows:

  Jesus our savior!  He died for our sins "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"  Romans 3:23, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" Romans 6:23, and then He rose again to live in our hearts forever.  He will never leave us nor forsake us once we have accepted Him as Lord and savior of our lives!!! "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" John 10:10
"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
If you haven't received Jesus Christ as your savior, why wait, tomorrow is not guaranteed.
