Fluted Classics Collection

 

Within the various collection introductions, Amazing Paper Grace has included sets that were inspired by classic sewing motifs. The Fluted Classics Collection is another wonderful layering shape set with ticking designs reminiscent of the blanket stitch on its edges! Nest the outer and inner rims with the insert to cut a tailored frame or for a beautiful background edge to any layering design. Keep it simple and you can cut a solid shape with just an outer rim. The Fluted Classics come in circle, square, oval, and rectangle shapes. We’ve also added a slimline version for those card makers who want to create an elegant and trendy silhouette.

My Projects for Today

Uses the Fluted Ovals (S5-474) along with other dies and stamps found below with their links.

 I've made a white, ivory and gold card topped with the Fluted Ovals in white and ivory.  I've also made a small gift basket made from the Fluted Ovals that I have loaded with candies.  I also made a Fluted Oval gift tag tied to the basket.  On the flowers I used some gold leaf with two way glue on the edges.

My sentiment on the card was gold foiled with an Amazing Paper Grace foil plate but the sentiment on the gift tag was gold embossed using the Sweet Serenade word stamp set.

Designers Tip: 

#1 Off-set gold under layers really adds a beautiful finishing touch to most any card.

#2 When adding the straight strip between 2 ovals for the basket, make small triangle snips all along both sides up to the score lines, this will allow you to bend the straight strip to accommodate the ovals without making weird pointy edges all along the way.
